Exactly, that's what got me the most :p why are we being insulted?
I saw it as "Their already feeble mind, cannot handle more distractions" "look at them little fellows bashing their keyboards, bless their cute little souls" :p

One screen and 'what day is it?' are definitely a problem for me.
No real interaction with people is also up there. You may have noticed that I've only been posting on here from two weeks ago!!! This has become my 'virtual having a chat in the kitchen'.
Oh yeah! And having to remote in to a Windows PC from my Macbook has it's keyboard challenges.

Yep! Too right. Working, being paid and (at the moment) still healthy. No more bitching from me.

I can still find plenty to bitch about.

I was about to say the same. About this applying to the people in general, not just developers.
Although I have no data to back this up with, I would say it's even worse among the general population.

That may be true for some developers, just as it may be for many other people not used to working at home.
It is emphatically not true for me. I can be much more focussed and productive when I am at home than when I am in the office. I get a faster and more reliable Internet connection at home than in the office under the new company IT regime. I also get better tea, a better chair and a better office space. Working at home has been my default for quite a long time.

Not married, no children, right?

You make it sound like such an impediment.
I'm in that boat, and I've been working from home for over a dozen years now. But I'm not seeing the inferred correlation/causation link.

Married, 3 children, 4 grandchildren.
Only SWMBO is left at home and mostly she leaves me in peace while I'm working.
I know I am extremely fortunate compared to many people forced unwillingly to work at home and I don't mean to belittle their difficulties, just to point out that it's not the same for everyone.

I somehow missed that survey. Otherwise I would have added that I'm missing my 1m by 2m office desk with nothing but legroom underneath. Here at home I'm rather constrained with my 30y old computer desk with a board underneath where my legs should go (I remember I used to have my printer there - that saved me a lot of room on top of the desk, although it didn't help my knees either). I keep hitting my shins on it.
As far as distractions go, I don't see much of a difference to the office. I expected that to be the greatest challenge but it really isn't. If anything, my spouse is making me work harder, not less.
GOTOs are a bit like wire coat hangers: they tend to breed in the darkness, such that where there once were few, eventually there are many, and the program's architecture collapses beneath them. (Fran Poretto)

Trevor Noah[^] is trending through the roof, in China.
Who the Hell saw that coming? The poor chap's going to suddenly get an awful lot richer.
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Hmm.
The clip I saw, with him pointing out some of the obvious lies that a certain-coloured person who lives in a certain coloured house has told, did not look like propaganda; it looked like someone who is pissed off at being lied to.
I can get behind that, no matter the politics of the liar.

No, what you undoubtedly saw was something taken out of context, or the commentator ascribing things to the speech that simply aren't there.

Mark is a troll. Whenever anyone always refers to Trump as "a certain coloured guy", it's proof they are a left wing troll. Period. People like that can't even use adult words.
