Fear & Desperation.
It's not easy keeping oneself away in isolation for way too long. Believe there is also pressure on how people affected are treated once its clear they might have it.

Alcohol is addictive to some people and as such will do most anything to get their high.
I'm not sure how many cookies it makes to be happy, but so far it's not 27.

I can understand to some extent when one is addicted to taking everything. But I can't understand if this is taken as a preventive measure - in this case Covid.

A couple years back when I did merchandising in retail stores, a bunch of stores in my area like Wal-Mart either stopped selling alcohol-based mouthwash or locked it in one of those cases they use for cosmetics/razors because people would come in and just start drinking them.

Yes stupidity is measured like sound pressure where 0 is full scale or "all she can take captain" and it is measured down from there in negative values where there is no floor except for perhaps an atom sneeze.

As for your question, although likely rhetorical, the answer is clearly no since those limits seem to be exceeded on an almost daily basis.

I just read the article. The article missed the entire point - why would anyone drink hand sanitizer unless they were an alcoholic and had been told there's alcohol in it?
