Having your holograph sit in on a class would be "mixed reality".
Augmented and mixed include reality, virtual does not.
Mixed reality is aware of reality (via space mapping), the others are not.
XR just means any of the "_R" types.
RR is rest and relaxation.

**Reality**, dude.
What a concept!

I saw a chair I wanted but couldn't decide if it fit in the car I was driving, and I didn't want to haul it out to the parking lot, etc.
A virtual box or virtual passenger door / trunk would have been handy.
Virtually pack your moving van to get it right the first time, and so on. No more "packing problems".

Drink one beer with a friend and that's RR (real reality), drink 10 and you will be in BR (beer reality)

pkfox wrote: "We can't stop here - this is bat country" - Hunter S Thompson - RIP Such a deal as I have for you. Every August bats migrate through the area, dining on all of the late summer insects. I live in a house that's over 140 years old, and the bats like to nest at night in all the nooks and crannies. A few times each season they work their way inside the house, usually in the middle of the night, and I get to deal with them.
I am an expert bat-catcher. The bats usually survive capture and get released outside, although their survival is not exactly a requirement of the process.

I have upgraded 3 company laptops from Windows 7 to Windows 10. In every case, there were no issues before the upgrade, but immediately afterwards I started having trouble with the screen randomly showing fuzzy grayish blue "TV noise" on the entire screen. After a random period of time, usually a minute or so, the screen will revert to normal. Sometimes moving the mouse seems to trigger the return to normal. I've searched for a cause and the only conclusion that I can come up with is that the Win10 driver is not fully compatible with the graphics card. Has anyone else seen anything like this with Dell Latitude laptops?

Hi,
Keefer S wrote: I started having trouble with the screen randomly showing fuzzy grayish blue "TV noise" on the entire screen. After a random period of time, usually a minute or so, the screen will revert to normal. Screen artifacts might be a sign of overheating. Windows 10 is GPU accelerated which means you may have overheating problems on the older Dell laptops with insufficient cooling. Check out these registry keys for disabling some of the GPU hardware acceleration:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Avalon.Graphics\DisableHWAcceleration
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers\HwSchMode Windows Defender is also GPU accelerated and can cause overheating on the older laptops. Some of the older laptops use a single heatsink for both the GPU and CPU. You can ask Windows Defender to limit it's CPU usage to help mitigate overheating.
Set-MpPreference -ScanAvgCPULoadFactor 5 I had to do this on my older Dell laptop after upgrading it to Windows 10... and the GPU still died.
Best Wishes,

I have figured out how to solve this problem. Nowhere on the internet have I come across the solution. It may be out there, but it is hard to find.
Here is how to solve the problem permanently:
1. Go to Control Panel > Intel (R) Graphics and Media.
2. Select /Click "Advanced".
3. Select/Click "Power" on the left.
4. On the Power drop down at the top, select "On Battery" to display the settings while on battery power.
5. Under the "Power Conversion Features", uncheck the "Display Refresh Rate Switching".
6. Click Apply and OK.
7. Problem is solved - Squiggly line artifacts gone.
Some additional information that I discovered while troubleshooting:
1. The problem ONLY occurred while on battery power.
2. The squiggly line artifacts would almost always appear after 1 to 2 minutes of inactivity followed by a tap or double tap on the mouse pad.
3. The squiggly line artifacts would disappear in about 30 seconds.
4. The squiggly line artifacts could be "locked in" if you opened notepad, trigger them to appear, and then started typing in notepad after they appeared. The squiggly line arrtifacts would remain until about 5 seconds after you stopped typing.
5. Never did the squiggly line artifacts prevent anything from being clicked.
6. The problem could not be triggered if an external monitor was connected (presumably because the monitor being plugged in changed the resolution and Refresh Rate Switching).
I have spent literally months trying to figure out how to trigger this problem and then how to solve it. I had already zeroed in on something with the graphics chip. With the help of a coworker, we discovered how to fix the problem. I hope this helps someone.
