Finally I got a closer picture about the facts are.
- My W10 is an upgraded W7.
- On W7 Traps registers an iconhandler
- Reinstall (update?) of traps on W10/2004 does not anymore install a iconhandler but also does not undo the one installed on W7.
I checked several W10/2004 installations in our company. Traps didn't install an iconhandler on these machines.
For me it means I can safely revert the iconhandler back to the standard windows handler.

Fortunately I missed the original misspelling - would have been alarmed at the prospect.

And you have to laugh at these computerised systems: the tracking page is saying it's been sent by "Guaranteed 1PM Next Day" delivery, so it should be with me "by 8pm" ...
I don't think Amazon trust the Royal Mail guarantees any more than I do!

Arrives in 2 packages. Half the unit in each package.

Do Amazon use Royal Mail in your neck of the woods then?
Nearly everything I get from Amazon is delivered by their own drivers. With the exception of some market place sellers who might use Royal Mail for smaller (letterbox sized) items, but I don't use them much.

Normally it's all Amazon's own drivers, I was surprised to see it coming by Royal Mail. The Amazon drivers visit our little group of houses so often we're all on first name terms with them ...

Sandeep Mewara wrote: So, this is your systematic scribble on paper? We didn't have fancy GUI for writing code in the old days. Yes I use notepad to organize my thoughts. I still do it today.
I was writing C/C++ code using text editors such as vim all the way up until around the year ~2000 I don't remember the exact year. I didn't start using Microsoft Windows until sometime around there. I had a few Windows machines but I wasn't writing software for Microsoft yet.

Please, tell us more about this magic notepad of yours?
I mean, did you really already have a list of synonyms for "warning of danger"? It seems quite a specific phrase...

Hmmm,
I use a combination of physical unabridged dictionaries and some online tools.
musefan wrote: It seems quite a specific phrase... I turn to digital tools when I get stuck solving these cryptic crossword puzzles. Some of them I wrote myself, but these days... the online tools are getting *very* good.
The second entry is here for the definition:

I am working in my spare time writing a CCC Solver using the dictionaries provided by the National Puzzlers' League. I don't expect it to be completed for over a year... it's alot of work and I am only working on it in my spare time. I am currently trying to import all of Wiktionary[^] into a SQLite database and that's not even completed yet.

Good luck. Keep us updated on any significant progress.
I have considered making one myself, but I know it will end up getting shelved because of the difficulties in setting up a good source database.
