Good find, thanks man!
(I mean the news, obviously, Anika did the real find! )

I hate to be a kill-joy, but... her video submission 2020 Video Challenge entry[^]
makes no mention of Covid-19 - she talks about influenza. She found (by computer analysis, or 'in-silico' methodolgy, as 3M puts it) a potential binding agent to the Hemagglutinen protein Wikipedia[^]
I don't know how the 3M sponsors came to link it to Covid, but I can guess. If I am being unfair, I will happily retract.

Very.... "clever" terminology.

it's a damn good idea to question whatever you read these daze So often, I wake up, and can't remember the world news I created the day before.
I think the first link to CNN is relevant: Quote: Anika's winning invention uses in-silico methodology to discover a lead molecule that can selectively bind to the spike protein of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
"The last two days, I saw that there is a lot of media hype about my project since it involves the SARS-CoV-2 virus and it reflects our collective hopes to end this pandemic as I, like everyone else, wish that we go back to our normal lives soon," Anika told CNN. Sounds to me like Anika is, herself, modest about her work.

And a tragedy at that (not the strip, Dilbert is great, but the truth of it.)

Things don't change just because the calendar flips a page.
The difficult we do right away...
...the impossible takes slightly longer.

Why does the calendar have anything to do with it?

Yes Slacker007, I read that. It's 2.5 months still to cross 2020 and thus might be too early - it is for me. (again, depends on person to person: tomorrow is also future and so is 2022)

Personally, I'd be happy if the last 4 years were irrevocably erased from the temporal stream.

I'd be happy if the last 106 years were erased. Perhaps the second time round, the Europeans power might use the brains God supposedly gave some of them, and avoid both World Wars.

Quite so!

With all that's going on, it's only going to get worse.
Maybe ten or twenty years from now, 2020 will be "the good old days."

I don't think crying and shitting your pants counts as good old days.
The boob thing sounds good until you remember who they were from

When you're a few months old, there's nothing wrong with any of those activities.

I know, but you wouldn't want to go back to that time either (or so I hope)
Actually, there are men who do, it's a fetish thing.
Not with their actual moms though, that would be an Oedipus thing
