They're vegans - they probably release them into the wild ...
No - you eat them. They used to be popular Christmas street treats in the UK, and still are in NewYork and parts of Asia. (They go really well with roast brussels and bacon for a Christmas Dinner side dish.)
A lot less trees around than there used to be!

Here in US chestnut blight destroyed most of our trees. But they're making a come back.
I'm not sure how many cookies it makes to be happy, but so far it's not 27.

The smallest number which can be expressed as the product of two consecutive prime numbers, and which produces a palindrome when multiplied by its reverse, as in:
2021 = 43 x 47
2021 x 1202 = 2429242
Hope that this mathematical property of 2021 is enough to drive Covid-19 away from the world.

I have my doubts that viruses can count, much less do multiplication.
Almost anything is worth trying, though!

The problem is that they are multiplying too quickly

Please ... a little detail on the process you used to find this, or what motivated you to find/compute this.

Sorry to disappoint you that I did not compute this. Just got it in a WhatsApp forward. Cross-checked the calculation and shared it here.
My mistake that I did not attribute it to WhatsApp University.

I always wonder why we say this. I am sure that apart from the odd troll or terrorist, no one would not wish this for others, even those we do not know.

I guess it's a "I'm alive, and I'm glad you are too" kind of thing: we say it with Birthdays, Anniversaries, religious festivals (regardless of religion or beliefs) and it's not really about the occasion so much as a "social acceptable" way to say we love our friends.
That's my thinking on it, anyway. I could well be wrong, I have been before ...

Thank you. My wishes for a great year for all the CPers.

We twa hae paidlet i’ the burn
Frae morning sun sill dine
But seas between us braid hae roar’d
Sin auld lang syne
We two have paddled in the stream
from morning untill noon
but oceans now lie between us
since those days now in the past
For auld lang syne, my Dear
For auld lang syne
We’ll tak a cup o kindness yet
For auld lang syne
For days now in the past, my dear
For days now in the past
We’ll drink a toast of kind remembrance
For days now in the past
And there’s a hand, my trusty feire
And gie’s a hand o’ thine
And we’ll tak a right gude-willie waught
For auld lang syne
So take my hand, my trusty friend
and give me your hand
and we will take a hearty drink together
In memory of those days now in the past
—Robert Burns

They are just trying to scare evil spirits away. Not that it works, because I'm still here. Only my remaining fireworks are gone now.
