2 second comparison of meet.google.com and zoom.us
both - have to create accounts to use
meet - minimal starting page
- medium plus size window the new meeting is on left, would be prefer center, focused
- click new meeting opens another dialog , would prefer show 3 opens just as without select menu. hidden options not always the best
- create for later, unclear what I would do with link. Simple prompt for share with or copy and save somewhere on computer.
- don't need account if just joining, same as zoom.
zoom
- accept cookies message. double checked meet (private and cache clear) and no cookie warning, props to google.
- require login (same on google, but when already signed in it wasnt obvious)
- oh, wait, no there is a Join in top menu. I assumed the MASSIVE join for free was prompt to create meeting
- one landing page. lots of clutter compared to meet.
- also the left side of create login
- also when get links from others the amount of use the desktop app makes it confusing and another hurdle on pain.
both could be improved. but imma suggest use meet.google.com unless you got the googleitest alergy

Heh,I remember being pretty much lost when Windows 8.0 came out. I never figured out about the corners, had to do a web search to find out about them. And the text on screen that might or might not be button. It was such a cluster that I finally made the jump to Linux as my main OS. I just keep a Windows VM around for games, TurboTax and the occasional photo editing session.

Inductive user interface. That is what is needed for people, who do not compute. And if software is meant to be used actively, an active tutorial is needed to show and train controls. Like in video games.
But then there are hard cases, where I think only voice driven AI interface would help (like in start trek). Icons and commands just don't mesh well with some people.

Johnny was sitting in a dark restaurant.
He said to this lady sitting next to him,
"Would you like to hear a blonde joke?"
She said,
"Well, before you tell me, you should know that I'm blonde,
6 foot tall and a professional body builder!
The lady next to me is blonde, 6 foot 2 and a professional wrestler!
And the lady next to her is blonde, 6 foot 5 and
the kickboxing champion of the world!!
Now, do you still want to tell me?"
He thought about it for a moment and then said,
"No! ..Not if I''m going to have to explain it three times!"

An old snake goes to see his doctor and says,
” I need something for my eyes… I can’t see very well these days”.
The doctor fixes him up with a pair of glasses
and tells him to return in two weeks.
The snake comes back in two weeks and
tells the doctor he’s very depressed.
The doctor asks, “What’s the problem? Didn’t the glasses help you?”
The snake says, “The glasses are fine doc.
I just discovered I’ve been living with a water hose the past 2 years!”

But I think I've managed to eliminate entity framework from my MVC5 (.Net Framework) app, but keep the user management functionality so I can have single-user authentication, and use my own DAL/connection string manager code in the process.
It compiles, so it's on to seeing if I did it right.

0) My first one was that I was using the wrong table names in my identity code (this was a mere forehead slapper).
1) Now I'm dealing with weirdness in the UserTable.
Not difficult issues, but certainly tedious...
