That's where the "fiction" part of "science-fiction" comes in. If it was all hard science, it wouldn't be very entertaining at all.
And that's the fun of it. It's called willful suspense of disbelief.
Because I was an X-Files fan in the 90s some people thought I was into UFOs and conspiracy theories. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Now, granted, there is material out there that has such huge plot holes it undermines the entire premise. And yes, anything "Star Trek reboot" falls in that category IMO.

Greetings Kind Regards May I say by "logic" I refer to "plot holes" not "non-fiction". Of course science fiction utilizes fictional science. May I add on the subject UFO I consider the matter solved and closed. Re/ former perhaps an example would be helpful. I am always irked the hand held lights utilized by our intrepid explorers as they travers darkened passages are no more illuminating then a cheap flash light one can purchase at the corner hardware store. A few hundred years hence such should fill the room as if by a MW floodlight. - Cheerio

I have been a science Fiction fan since I was 8 years old and read I Robot by Isaac Asimov. (I'm 73 now)
I felt the same way as you do, when I watched the Will Smith "I Robot Movie".
On the other hand, "Blade Runner" and "Men In Black" were wonderful movies.
I don't watch any SF shows on TV as they are all disappointing.
I have read every SF book I could get my hands on,

Greetings Kind Regards "Blade Runner" is one of my all time favorite films. Here is a little story re/ same.
I quite enjoyed the soundtrack so I went to a music store in downtown Chicago to purchase same. I did so and the LP was placed in the store's brightly colored and identified bag. I then walked a few blocks down Wabash and entered an art supply store to look over their pens w/ said bag in hand. As I approached the counter displaying the pens the attractive young lady behind the counter exclaimed to me "Is that the new Vangelis album?" I did not know what a "Vangelis" was and merely muttered something brief in reply I do not recall what. I looked over the pens for a minute or two then walked away. Upon arriving home I examined the album notes and learned what a "Vangelis" is. I have no explanation for this other than women know things. - Best Cheerio

The "hardest" Wordle I've tried was one of BATCH, CATCH, HATCH, LATCH, MATCH, PATCH or WATCH.
I forget the actual answer but just remember I ran out of guesses! It broke a streak of 59!
