I see you liked Badfinger - I knew Tommy Evans - shame what happened to them

The curse of many bands. Yes, I think you mentioned Tommy Evans. Very creative guy.

Just got to know that she was granddaughter of the great physicist Nobel Laureate Max Born[^] who went to Australia after being sent out of Hitler's Germany. Max Born was friend of the great Indian physicist Nobel Laureate C. V. Raman[^], and it is said that Raman invited Born to settle in India after being out of Germany, but the British didn't want to antagonize Hitler, so they didn't allow Born to settle in India (around 1930 or 1935).

Rocket science is the leading front in science, but why brain surgery? Is that a leading front in science too now? Making an association between brain the human organ and something that has to do with information technology might establish a precedent, just saying.

In the UK (and by the look of Raddevus' post, the USA too) the terms "Rocket science" and "Brain surgery" are both synonymous for something that is exceptionally complex or requires genius-level skills to do. Phrases like "It ain't rocket science" or "You hardly need to be a brain surgeon" are used for something that really isn't difficult, whilst "You'd need a degree in rocket science" implies something is very tricky or unintelligible to mere mortals. The subject area is irrelevant in either case.

I've never done a "mandatory update"; I'd try it without.
"Before entering on an understanding, I have meditated for a long time, and have foreseen what might happen. It is not genius which reveals to me suddenly, secretly, what I have to say or to do in a circumstance unexpected by other people; it is reflection, it is meditation." - Napoleon I

Number a trap possibly in spread ? (8)
Number = Paginate
a trap possibly = a gin
spread = pate
possibly = served a dual purpose as an anagram indicator and to infer a type of trap
To number something is to paginate.
