For some reason your comment made me think of this[^], which has nothing to do with your comment!

I find it hard to believe Yahoo thinks this is news. This was all over the interwebs about 2 months ago. Nice to know Marissa is on top of things.

It's true. I have regular bedtime and my kids behave like angles...
I'm not questioning your powers of observation; I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is (V).

Nothing I read showed how they had differentiated cause and effect. Surely it could be that poorly behaved kids tend to be allowed a less regular bed time?

Watched the first episode of the season last night.
Wonderful stuff.
But it gave me pause for thought: what is it about this show that has caught the viewer's imagination?

How you can be bitten by a walker and turn into one yet everyone is already infected so when you die you also turn into a walker. So ... is there a special second virus that travels through saliva that is fatal and the first virus turns you into a walker or is it just something completely weird. Remember, your all already infected!

You're expecting consistency in the Zombie genre? What are you going to want next: Ethical lawyers? Honest politicians? Non-deceptive marketing?
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

When they introduced the "everyone's already infected" twist, they didn't think it through very well.
So, the answer to your question is that we wait for the writers to think of some reason it works that way if they ever stop to realize there are problems with their creative plot devices.

It is the same as what they said in the series.
Which is also the reason why Hershel didn't when he was bitten.

Oh no, I agree. I'm just looking to see if there is anything else.
I elephanting love it: can't get enough of the zombie sh*t: even quite liked World War Z once I watched it a few more times.
Actually, I think it's because we all secretly want to live in that world.

Have you read the book? Based on this[^], it sounds better than the film.

I can't say I'm overly surprised. Having read the book years ago, I'd wondered how they'd be able to turn it into a movie. It's would structure fit a few dozen semi-stand alone shorts or maybe TV episodes; but was way too disjoint and episodic to make a normal movie out of.

For some of us, it's the resemblance to our everyday lives, and the realization that we're not alone.

0) They've been at the prison too long
1) The cast needs to be refreshed - all the regulars need to eventually die off.
2) They need to start exploring HOW the zombie apocalypse started.
3) What about the rest of the world? Is it just the US, or is the rest of the world afflicted as well?
4) Plot twist - people that are immune to the virus, even after being bitten. This could be used to usher in a shadowy group of scientists that have been tasked by the remains of the government to find out how to immunize the "important people" against the disease. Rick, et al, discover these scientists (and the immune civilians) and chaos/righteous indignation ensues.
