My 130x[^] is not quite stock anymore.
Ok, I went a little overboard, but some parts must be replaced. The 130x is great, but without little bit of maintainance it will quickly develop some issues. The plastic gears wear out quickly, for example.
Still, I think the black carbon fiber looks good together with the red aluminium. I guess, I just love to build things.[^]
The weather here is getting bad and makes me wish I was in Texas Just have some nice flights for me as well.

Was out for a surprise meal with the wife and some friends for her 40th Birthday (12 of us in total).
Managed to get a table booked somewhere that neither of us had been to last night which made a nice change from the usual places. Also tried a couple of new dishes to me, and I was surprised at just how good they were.
Here is the place and the last nights menu: http://www.fusionbarbistro.com/gallery.html[^]
I had the the Partridge as a starter which tasted very similar to chicken! Never had that before, I tried Pigeon last year for the first time and thought it might be similar but not even close. For the mains I went with the "Beef Three Ways" which was fillet, cheek, bubble + squeak ox tail cake with truffle jus and that was absolutely perfect. For pudding had the Chocolate Fondant/Crumb, when you broke into the crumb this rich chocolate oozed out, fortunately the portions weren't excessive as it was really sweet. Definitely induced a hint of drool. Topped all off with some champers, peroni and vodka.
Absolutely cracking night....

From that menu, that's probably what I would have chosen - but I'd have been tempted by the Rhubarb instead of the chocolate (if only because Herself would have gone for the chocy and I could have pinched some).
Sounds good!

Growing up in Northern Ontario, having partridge (ruffed grouse) was always a treat, especially when they had been feasting on pine nuts! Good memories...
And I agree with the other post.. rhubarb for me!

I casseroled a brace of pheasant for this evenings meal.
Braised the birds then put them in a dish with root veg, red wine, black peppercorns, mustard and a dash or sweet chilli sauce.
Just tasted a sip of the sauce and my mouth is watering.
Going to serve it with roast potatoes and asparagus.

Forecast for today is 44C (111F). Total fire ban throughout the state. Its a Saturday so power grid will be challenged. It has failed in the past on hot days due to demand. Need to make sure our dog is cool.
Too hot for beach or anything much else so read a book maybe.

Incidentally, something I've always wondered. Why is CP in Canadia? were you in Canadia and started CP there, or maybe you took some tax advice from DD and moved to Canadia for the extreme rebating system?
Or maybe Griff had pics of you with the NSW Sheep?
Or ...
I'd be interested in a 'how CP came about' article - or a link to it if it has already been written...

I have no pictures of Chris with any sheep, NSW or otherwise.
At least, they don't look like sheep...

Because Oz has no extradition treaty with Canadia. Apparently the provincials in Aussieland take a dim view of frolicking with smaller animals under the influence of fermented vegemite and threatened to prosecute after that famous server room incident (allegedly involving the CP staff and a number of inebriated hamsters) of 2004.
