The Answer is CLERICAL ERROR

Any chance of a solution?

Think of it in two parts:
Perhaps the form was misfiled
CLERICAL ERROR
as the Reverend Spooner was prone to do?
Spooner was a Reverend, which makes him a Cleric, who was famous for transposing parts of words: Spoonerisms[^]
Hence CLERICAL ERROR

I was hoping for a little solace today and a chance to start the hard work of the test rig I am (re)building (maybe put stuff in boxes as the firm is moving Monday). As always when you have a job like that something more important rears up. A customer of ours has done the shouty thing he infamous for and now I have to 'fix' the boards that failed. At least three of them are BGA faults which we can't do...

Big BGA or Little BGA - they are all a PITA to try and fix. Send 'em back to whoever does your BGA placement - the best option is a proper "remove and replace with new" job if you've got a fault with one of the joints on those things...Or you could just let your boss have a go with a nice big soldering iron!

'FIX IT', get shouted, I reply 'HOW' he comes over starts fiddling with the test rig and tells me to ensure the PIC is programmed and so the fun begins...

Put in a requesition for one of these: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/soldering-irons/2315433/[^], complete with it's base station and see what damage you can do before he takes that task away from you!

It in the workshop already, can't move the elephanting thing, never used it in the entire time I've been here, the only turbines we mess with are little plastic ones...

Can't do that, the special power line it was on was disconnected due to the move it something like 75 Amps insane thing for soldering jet engine turbine's I think.
