So this is an odd one.
I did something in Outlook. I forget what: asked it to show me an email, or switched folders, or waved the mouse near it or something, and so Outlook locked up and consumed every CPU cycle it could get it's grubby hands on.
Fine. Whatever. Go crazy, Outlook.
However, when I switch to Visual Studio to get some real work done, it pops up that "Visual Studio is waiting..." message. And it's waiting for Outlook.
For what? It's daily horoscope? It's waiting through morbid fascination that an app can lock up that badly? It's waiting for it's turn in the bathroom? What on Earth would Visual Studio be doing waiting for Outlook?
The mind boggles.
cheers

Waiting to get some CPU cycles from Outlook? (Like it ever would get some...)

Do you have Office development tools installed on VS?

Outlook is slow, overly complicated, and stupid.
I cannot imagine how a program that does little more than view text files can bring down a modern PC.

I've been watching Lilyhammer on Netflix, highly recommend it!
I was expecting something akin to a Soprano's knock off, but nope. It's a Norwegian show. Literally the only American actor in it is the guy from the Soprano's, the rest of the cast is Norwegian, and the people who write it are all from Norway.
Very clever and funny, if you're looking for a new TV show would recommend checking it out.

If you enjoy "Lilyhammer," I think you might also enjoy the Danish-Swedish series "The Bridge." Sophia Helin's performance as a Swedish high-Aspberger detective is, imho, magnificent, and Kim Bodnia's performance as her Danish detective partner just a perfect counter-balance. I'm delighted there's going to be a third-season of this (airing late in 2015).
I haven't seen an episode of the American spin-off of this.

That sounds very watchable, and watchable TV is scarce at the moment!
Will check it out, cheers

This is really one of the best series i've seen for a long time.
Two seasons are done so far.

Never worked out why it is Lilyhammer and not lillehammer though.

It's from how Anglophones pronounce it.

Or at least how Stevie's character pronounces it. Ahem.
