Thank you, but this is not what I reported. Unfortunately, I don't know how to reproduce the problem, so there is not much to discuss yet.

Spam filters are in place and doing very well now a days. Whenever they detect something suspicious in forum messages, that message goes to message moderation queue. Link to the same is visible just above the article moderation link (Not visible when there are no messages that need attention).
If you report that message as approved, all is well but if you report it as spam, that message will be no more along with the poster.

Thank you for the explanation. At least it explains why valid reports can get into the moderation queue; it can happen if you quote the part of spamming content in the report, right?
Anyway, this is not the problem I addressed. I only complained that my message got into this forum, in some wrong way.

It can also happen if only including a link to the spam message because message links are generated using the begin of the subject. If the subject contains suspicious words the report message may be detected as possible spam. This happens also when the link is used only in the href section.

I have been wondering why CP has introduced this half-baked user moderation system. Although I was laughing yesterday when it was SA, it turned out to me today. And my original account is still not yet there since this morning.

And even after this, the baba questions in Q&A does not stop.

Unfortunately the spam-moderation does not yet include QA...
One of the features of this moderation that if the message got reported as a spam the system removes member instantly - it is enough that one not read your message carefully and you are gone...
In any case do not see it as personal attack - CP staff try to improve the site and the anti-spam-war is one of the hardest part of it...
See it as a voluntary work for the community

Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

I understand that it's not a personal attack.
But my account was removed (and not yet returned) based on 1 trigger. And I am not yet sure what exactly that was.

Hi, Are you saying that one spam report by one user is enough to get someone's account automatically disabled ? If so, that's downright scary.

Exactly. If that report comes from message moderation...Scared me too...

I guess the question to ask then is: who is "message moderation;" I've always assumed only CP staff could de-activate an account.

I dont't think it's CP staff only. And as you said what scares me as well that it's just 1 report and account is gone!

I can see the message moderation queue (and I think you too) and if I report a message there the member will be gone - so beware !

I have seen the Message Moderation Queue only once and IIRC, it appears just above the one for articles/blogs/tips approval.

One of the big things I've learned from my career in Software Development is the Pursuit of Excellence.
I bet you've learned that too.
Anyways, wherever I see the Pursuit of Excellence I am always motivated by it.
I had never heard of Urijah Faber Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) until yesterday when i stumbled upon his fantastic book, The Laws of the Ring: The Laws of the Cage from the California Kid -- amazon link[^]
It's a really great book on the Pursuit of Excellence in every life and it's written very well. Check it out. I'm betting as a Software Developer (Maker) you will like the book too.

An old trick with scriptwriting is that if you go over beat, you calculate by how much, then cross out the appropriate number of words.
E.g. if you've got ten beats, but your lines run to fifteen beats, rather than agonise for ten minutes over how to rewrite it, just cross out every third word, and tidy it up. Done in a trice. After a few times, you can do the edit without actually crossing out the words.
I find that I'm doing pretty much that with my ears, lately. I just blank every second or third word spoken in certain meetings, and come away with a lot more sense than if I'd listened to them all.
