Feeling so honored (and humbled too!) to get a reply from Chris himself. Thanks Chris for this.

He's posted over 30,000 messages here. One'd think that'd sorta lessen the impressiveness of his responses. Somehow he manages to keep his value high.

In my utter modesty, I think I am to blame for that[^].

So good organisers do not have the possibility to be an MVP ? Article moderation or Q&A edition are also contributing a lot to the site content.

Excellent point, and one I've been trying to decide how to tackle.
My goal is to expand (dramatically) the ability of members to organise the content. Reorganising, re-tagging, re-editing, flagging etc. This would then result in more opportunities for points and bonuses and would then allow us to provide either an MVP or a new category of special status.
Writing content is one thing, but surfacing the good stuff is really, really important.

This is good news.
If anything, there is still hope for me to get to the MVP status after 13+years here

I wonder if Obama has an exception handler prepared for that in his State of the Union address tomorrow.

Giusto. Davvero Criminale.
That's why the world's other bastion of corruption, Washington DC, invested millions (milliards, in today's money) in supporting it and destabilising the other parties, after WW2.

That's funny, I never heard that

In Italy even the simple parish priests during the Mass advocated voting for DC in order to keep "Communism" at bay, under generous payrolls from DC which got its from Washington. The Marshall plan and the short-sightedness of Italian political class caused many of the still lingering problems, since there has been no growth. We lived well until money came "from the US uncle", then it was and still is Third World.

On the karmic side, the criminals that Washington funded expanded their "businesses" only into the US, ruining even more lives there, and never got a solid handhold in any other country.
You'd think that they would have learned from that, but they're still making exactly the same mistakes today.

Worth a snort.
If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.-John Q. And either way, the implications are staggering.-Wernher von Braun Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.-Albert Einstein

Do you know when your browser filter or your antivirus says: this file can harm your computer ? Well, people began to understand that these are false alarm signals. Because of this problem, no one trusts the browser filter and the antivirus (for a good reason). The problem arose from the moment VirusTotal appeared. All security companies take their files from there, and this is something totally wrong, because the files are uploaded by users like you and me ! Antivirus teams are like sheep, if one says that a file is suspect, then everyone says that the file is a virus or suspect.
They do this so they don't lose the so-called "detection rate". That is why over ~90% of the files they detect as malware, they are in fact clean files, belonging to different legit software companies or belonging to you or me. So when your browser or antivirus tells you that the file "x" is infected, you should not listen to it. I've given up Google Chrome (mainly due to so called "malware" filters) and all antivirus software because these have told me that my programs (just compiled) were a threat to my computer. That is stupid, how can you interdict me to download my own statistical software because it might harm my computer ?!

A few years back, a client of over 10 years called to report major problems with our software...the shortcut couldn't find the executable. Her IT department had just rolled out a new AV and it apparently did not like our executable. I was able to FTP down a fresh executable, (via a remote) and tested it. When I double-clicked, the AV gave a warning and then poof, the file was gone!
The problem was referred to the IT dept. 'head' who totally believed that our files must be infected, even though the digital signature was still intact, and refused to set an exception or rule, or even to submit the file to AV for examination. The poor client was without their ordering and inventory system for 2 weeks until suddenly it just started working again...not sure what they did.
