You have a bit of English in your welcome message. I can read that too of course, but I thought it was a bit odd to mix languages like this:
Wie antworte ich?
To reply to the overall topic...

Yeah, the German translation of Discourse is still not fully complete.
I'll try to manually change everything I can now.
Thanks for pointing out!

Just to let you know... that just showed up in the moderation queue. Probably due to being non-English.

But why? Because I wrote in German? I will delete it. For this I think you first have to delete?
And yes, thank you for your note.

No I don't, I let it through. You didn't need to delete it.

Will you call "the Lounge" "the Elbow Room"?
|
|
|
|
|
OMG! We have no lounge yet!
Will add this immediately!

Nice initiative and I hope it will succeed in building a community that has qualitative better content than the existing ones in Germany.
Just saw while having a look on your website that the first question from Holland already is in (Conversion of a "Gleitkommazahl")
With friendly greetings,

Tut mir leid, aber ich verstehe Sie nicht...
I understood just fine, but that's about the only German I speak
Some other words too, but I only use them when making bad jokes that most Germans probably couldn't laugh about

Yet another website to register an account. Kudos to your effort for setting this up, but I'm still not sure if it is really needed. I'd guess one reason that German communities are of low quality could be that many Germans seem to prefer to look at and ask questions in English-speaking communities, and it makes sense because they will naturally reach a lot more people out there than just their own folks.

Thanks, Florian
I've included all SSO providers available (Facebook, Twitter, Google, github) to lower the pain of registering yet another account.

I totally agree. I am only writing articles, documentation and much more in English. I also have a feeling that German content (also including certain magazines) is usually poor in quality, which is why I tend to go for English content directly.

Give it a chance. And I feel e.g. "ct" is a very high quality magazine

"ct" is probably the best. Please note the "certain" (do not confuse it with "all"). Caution: Little words may result in big differences.

Hi All,
I am having problems logging in, the only I am still logged into I can only get at is only available at weekends...so have to watch on the lounge and things at the moment. So what I have learned this week, people are dumb/stubborn (I saw how a product was being damaged then the damage would cause it to fail the test, told the people do the test. Solved the problem, took the fix to the higher levels, 'No we do the test X way we will always do it X way', was the answer???), No matter how early you get up the train is late , there will never quite the right component values for the circuit you design & my favourite lesson of the week when you are given 'golden boards' always make sure they are full working examples!
