Kid uses Chrome and does her school work via Google Docs. There seems to be a bit of malware about that attacks Chrome. Not sure of origin, checked her browsing history and nothing amiss. She has been doing this for 2 years now with no issue.
The bad bit is the malware disables u$ Security Essentials and displays ads on Chrome
I gave my daughter a weak account on her laptop, removed chrome, ran u$SE from another account which on inspection has fixed the problem.
When removing chrome I was given a survey why I wanted to remove chrome. I did not wish to answer every stink'n question on this rather large survey, but after attempting to submit the survey disallowed it until every question was answered.
I then removed chrome from all household OS instances a few days later, the survey was now a one question multiple choice question, with malware being the second choice. Hmmmmm.
Anyone else having issues chrome?

Mind you, I don't use Google Docs (I have Office on PC and WPS on Android so I haven't needed to).

I like Outlook - I have quite a few rules set up - and Word files are a de facto industry standard, so I have to use it. Excel is simply the best spreadsheet I've ever met. Access is...um...the VB of databases.
If I feel the need to move to the cloud, I might go with google docs. But I don't feel the need to join that herd of stampeding buffalo (and I suspect there is a cliff ahead)

Nope. Chrome has been fine as well as Google Docs.
However, no MSSE involved on any of my machines.

My kids seem to find these game sites as well. They claim the games won't run on IE. I don't doubt it, but then I spend the next week cleaning up all the superfluous installs that are causing internet popups - even when the browser is not currently started.
I use Chrome at work, but it's not allowed on my PC at home any more.

I'm one of the lucky ones who has never had problems with chrome.
Mind you, I'm sure that status would change if I used it.

Crossword clues come in two types: "Simple" and "Cryptic".
Simple ones are just a word that means what the clue is: "Simple (5)" would mean "something simple, five letters" and the answer could be "BASIC"
Cryptic clues are more complex - and you have a link to some info on them already.
These are Cryptic Crossword Clues - hence the "CCC" part of the name.
The "WSO" part means "Winner Stays On" and says that the first person to get the answer and solution posted gets to set it the next day (Monday to Friday inclusive) - the "winner" gets to "stay on" and set the next problem.
