I don't know the answer either. Somehow, all of this sounds as if you are also a fan of Hannibal Lecter[^]. I feel sad for the one who understood you.

Now I want to read the rest of the book. Do you have a publishing date yet?

Bill, you don't know me, but when you do know me, please don't eat me. If you have to eat me, then please sprinkle me with salt and pepper, to taste, first. Easy on the butter.
Much obliged.

Dear Bill,
While last month's Employee of the Month award may have been a little controversial, nobody really liked Janine from accounts, and so it is with great pleasure that I can confirm our Employee of the Month award, for the second month running!
Once again there was some argument against this decision but as soon as I told the board "nobody understands Bill like I do" they seemed to cheer up immeasurably, and moved to announce the award immediately!
So, congratulations!
The canteen are providing catering in my office this lunchtime, so I would be honoured if you could join me for a bite.
Sincerely
Albert Fish

With up-to-date dependencies and all that.
Why? Why Not?
I am currently (as of this post) configuring and building the recently released GCC 5.1.0 with all languages enabled.

In what way "custom"? Please say it is to build a custom FFMPEG because I am having severe difficulties with it using my current MinGW-64 toolchain!

Some additional packages and stuff.
No not for FFmpeg.
What kind of errors are you getting?
I am using MSys2[^], which has MinGW builds of FFmpeg. You can also find patches and build scripts on Github[^].
You may want to look at those patches.

Dear, Community
I am doing a highschool final right now with computer programming. What do you recommend I do? I have an A- right now. I know some java but is there any other language you would suggest I learn. I am thinking about doing computer programming as a job, I am currently a senior. Please respond back when you are able.
Sincerely,
A pupil of computer programming.

Its early. Better to stay with one language and take it to a higher level than merely scratch the surface of a second language. JMHO.

Senior in a manner of age? I would assume it this way.
Any way, since you are talking about "computer programming" why are you so shy about C++? Learn C++, because it would teach you about computer programming; or any other low-level programming language. SQL would teach you about statements to get data from databases (data sources), Java is used for programming apps on JVM, C# can be used for .NET framework and so on. C, C++ or Assembly language would teach you about computer itself, how it handles data how it stores data in RAM and so on.
So, I would say start C++.

I concur with Afzaal.
For Afzaal's information: Apparently, in the USA, a "Senior" means in the last year of High School. People who are senior in age are mostly ignored by most Americans as they are classed as effectively dead already.

You are welcome. Being one of the senior people here in the USA I often feel the ignorance!

Well, I am quite (a lot) younger relative to you... But you can only feel ignored if you ignore yourself, if you back down on yourself. Until you love yourself and are proud of what you are! Nothing on this planet can make you feel down.
No matter what teenagers think... Elders are always a great asset to the community, society and most specially to teenager them self. We just don't understand this.

Forget about learning a new language for now; the time learning the language will not show on the final project.
Do a project in a field/domain you are familier with; no need to find something new or state of the art.
Just do something solid, bug free, no performance issues , with good coding practice (use Java coding standards), use unit tests (if applicable...)
If you like music, do a music player or a simple sequencer.
If you like graphics, do a "paint" program or a simple 3D renderer.
If you like food/restaurant, do a OpenTable clone or a recipe manager (with ingredients cross reference)
If you like...
Well you get the idea.
Good luck
I'd rather be phishing!
