I adore Silverlight, they killed it.
I adore my Windows phone, they will kill it.
I now understand the meaning behind the phrase, "If you love something, let it go."
It is the only chance that something has for survival.

Who wants to be a travel agent for half an hour?
I've spent the morning looking at holidays on the internet (unless anyone at work is reading this in which case I've been hard at work doing whatever it is I do).
Where would you go on holiday with my wife and a 10 year old girl?

Paris - including Disneyland(for the 10 year old), it used to be fairly cheap staying at the resort hotels(eurostar is fairly comfortable).
Cornwall - stunning views, walks, self catering, the sea and you don't have to travel abroad(i.e. no easyjet etc).

Did Disneyland a number of years ago, took the car on the Eurostar and drove the rest of the way (in a car that needed several litres of oil to get there and back and had a boot that wouldn't lock).
Go to Cornwall every year with my family, stopping at the Retallack Resort[^] in July of this year.

You could try the US, California - do you know the way to San Jose?

Yeah, but a couple of weeks at home on my own would be far, far, far more restful.

Didn't hint at the budget - but Tenereife is a must if you haven't done it. Plenty to do for the little one.

Deliberately didn't put a budget, or any other criteria cos wanted to see what people would recommend without that.
Went to Lanzarote a couple of years ago, only proper foreign holiday we've been on just the three of us. Did go to Tenerife when I was a kid with my mum, dad and brother and the Canaries are certainly somewhere I'd always consider.

Tenerife is the best for the kids - Dolphin trips, pirate boats, bays with inflatables, two great water parks, animal parks, camel rides etc. and of course being the Canaries you can guarantee the weather.

Iceland maybe? Nice walks and views and ponys to look at and ride on for your girl.

I'd certainly like to go to Iceland, and my daughter would love the pony riding, think my wife would complain at something so Northern though. Plus she works for a company called Iceland.

Dunno - where are you going?
Clearly, it would be polite for the three of us to avoid going there as well...

Bugger that. I've just had a three day weekend at home and had to do so much stuff I've gone back to work for a rest.

OK then what about a canal holiday? Not cheap but we really enjoyed the 2 weeks spent on the Cheshire ring a couple of years ago.
