No, but he is under a moratorium from CP.

No, unfortunately his safe conservative seat went to labour during the biggest swing to the Tories nationally for twenty or more years.
This may be related to his non-return to the site: local Tory Party Commissars do not take to such failure well.

Surely if Labour won the seat it was a swing to Labour ? ( or am I the victim of some razor wit )

In most of the country the Tories gained seats. This supposedly safe Tory seat was one of the exceptions.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

Nationally, there was a massive swing to the Conservatives. His safe, guaranteed, Conservative council seat went with a massive swing to the opposition - which I would presume would be a major embarrassment to DD. And may have been related to some of his views not going down well with the local electorate he was hoping to fleece represent.
Since he made these here as well as FarceBook they wouldn't be hard to find...

Do you mean that Dalek Dave has been exterminated?
I didn't think that things like that could happen in England.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but DD was not standing for a safe seat. He was standing in a winnable seat, but it was no way safe, his performance was okay but not outstanding. As things stand, he should move up the list to a better seat on the council at the next elections if one should become available.
He is still trying to pretend to be an upstanding member of the community on FB, though he did have a pop at Chris Evans this morning. Only to be corrected by Dave Auld's wife.

I'm sure he claimed it would be a safe seat as a reward when he stood for the unwinnable one the previous time.

He did indeed claim that, but he also claimed Ian Botham was dead so, you know.

Perhaps if we stop doing the WSO CCC he may come back.

I wonder how many CP members were standing for election in some capacity in the last elections in the UK.
I wonder how many have stood, or even are currently serving in elected office elsewhere in the world.

As per that hack that has been reported to have occurred for all US government employees information, how in the hell could they have been so open to such an act? I have done 3rd level support for ADP and Ceridian while at RIM and those systems were majorly locked down. This is completely baffling as to the fact that there was no encryption or obfuscation considering this information was outward facing.

I keep thinking about that famous quote from Armageddon -- "You know we're sitting on four million pounds of fuel, one nuclear weapon and a thing that has 270,000 moving parts built by the lowest bidder. Makes you feel good, doesn't it?"
Government security? Yeah, right. That fits in the same block of oxymorons as military intelligence.
The difficult may take time, the impossible a little longer.

Yes, but it's the most powerful government in the world, one that can (fbofw) project its power around the world and (again, fbofw) kill insurgents from afar in hostile countries like Pakistan, Libya, etc.
It boggles the mind.

The good news is that it's probably less incompetent than the governments that are its adversaries. So we have been reading their records for years.
