You might have a point.
On the other hand, it's a shame how many low rep users don't even make an effort to write good questions!
Sometimes it's just a copy of a homework assignment without further remarks.
Sometimes it's written in the native language of the poster while this is obviously an English website.
Sometimes there's just not a lot at all.
Sometimes the poster is probably trying really hard, but sometimes our best isn't good enough and the post as a whole is still incomprehensible gibberish.
Sometimes these low rep users just don't make sense! They'll ask you, in proper English, "How can I make the C# Linux Drupal work on my Assembler Android iPad?"
Sometimes it seems as though the poster just doesn't know how to use the internet at all!
I've seen articles posted by these members that's nothing more than the template that's generated for you (literally!)...
Having seen hundreds, or maybe even thousands, of those posts does test the patience of some high rep users.
Luckily, I still see more than a fair share of newbies from around the globe who do make it as respectable members of the community though!

Yes yes, there are a lot of questions which are really stupid, I agree. I don't mean these..... and I also don't like to post the links of today's deleted (but reasonable - even easy - questions), this not to blame the person who deleted them.

So how do you expect the person to change his behaviour?

Because you, low reputation members, deserve it!
Just kidding, of course.

This is, in my opinion a major flaw of the Q&A, you are perfectly right. More often than not, deleting a question is pointless.
Quote: Sorry, but English is -in most (?) cases- not the mother tongue of the questioner!
Look at how many times questions were deleted today, simply because you were not correctly written in English ... and yes sometimes also a little bit poor explained…but please…
Again, you are right (possibly because I am not mother tongue too?).
On the overall, I simply agree with you.

Well, hang on a minute. You're effectively accusing them of having no integrity and now you're protecting it? This seems to be a very convenient way of you having a good old whine without the need for any actual evidence to support your argument.

Are you sure they were actually deleted by a single member? I seem to recall there's a slight issue with the message, when three users flag the same question for different reasons, and only the last user is shown on the "closed by" message.
AFAIK, only protectors and staff have the big red "delete question" button.

Yes I'm sure that questions were deleted because of one Report of one member. At least that is what I see if I have a look to the question.

Well, neither of us can see the raw data, so if the message is incorrectly displaying only one member, when three members actually flagged the question for different reasons, then there's no way to know for sure.
I think a bug-ette in the "closed by" message is far more likely that a loophole that lets one user close a question on their own. But if you still think that's happening, why not drop the hamsters an email[^] with a link to the question(s) and ask them to check? They're quite friendly, and hardly ever bite.

No, you don't seem to understand.
If three users report a question, but each selects a different option, then the "closed by" message only shows the last user who reported the question.
That doesn't mean that the question was closed by one user. It was still reported by three users. It just means that the message is wrong.
Since neither of us can see the raw data to check who actually reported the question and why, neither of us can know for certain which of us is correct. Therefore, there is no point in arguing about it here.
As I said, if you remain convinced that a single user is closing questions, ask the admins. They do have access to the raw data, and whilst they won't necessarily tell you who reported the question, they will be able to tell you how many reports it received.

It will be hard to deny that most of the community and documentation is aimed at a single language. It makes sharing of ideas and concepts easier. As soon as that changes, we'll find new barriers.

One thing that might not be obvious (and I apologise - I haven't read the entire thread so someone else may have already said this) ...
Regarding Quote: Questions will be simply deleted (by a single member), because they deemed
unworthy I have noticed sometimes that I have been listed as the only member closing a post yet when I have "reported" it (unclear, off topic, not a question etc) then mine is the third report - i.e. 2 other members thought the same before me, yet my name is the only one listed.
It doesn't bother me because I know I wasn't the only person who thought that way! The point is posts are usually only deleted/closed once sufficient members have flagged them.
A single Protector can delete a post. For example, I can do that, but I reserve that act for clear spam or self-answers to questions where the member really meant to update their question or post a comment (in the latter case I always let the poster know what I am about to do and provide guidelines to avoid the problem in the future). If you think a Protector (including me) is abusing that power, then please report it to Chris or Sean or via the Sugs&Bugs forum

There was a big thread way back when, "Gold members are abusing this site". Just like now, it wasn't so much that it wasn't happening, but the evidence for it was poorly chosen and almost everyone got hung up on that instead of addressing the actual issue.

dude,
you are very new to this site. man up, change your panties, and learn. I rarely venture to the questions area. I would love to tutor someone, but looking at the questions, well, really - they are mostly homework. Most of these "high ranking members" who are now appointed as HRMs have answered so many questions and have been soooooo patient. It's why only some people have nuclear weapons and death rays. Their patience has been tasked...
so suck it up.
I'm not being harsh. So you got your feelings hurt. Big damn deal. You have so much to learn from the people on this site. So much breadth, wealth of info. Don't cheat yourself by getting your panties all in a wad. Learn, adapt, overcome. (name that movie).
