The original name of Egypt was Kermit (or Kermet)

Oh who knew. I've sort of given it away a bit that my answer was a guess now haven't I. Oh well there goes my chance to show everybody that I am smart after all.

Google knew (I checked, as I wasn't sure if it was Kemmet)

I would never link cacti and Egypt, I guess they probably have some, there is a lot of desert after all.
I thought ψ represented the Nile and its tributaries.

I confess I was originally going to do desert .. But the duped letters didn't look good.
In my search for a better character I found the triangle and the rest, as they say, is ancient history.

So after aquaplaning[^], gliding over ice and sliding over wet leaves, this weekend I had the "pleasure" of experiencing gliding over a mud puddle, complete with tank slapper[^]. It took 2 to 3 seconds to get my bike straight again (in the end my bike started to tilt)
The difference between sliding an tank slapping is that with sliding, your back wheel breaks out. Tank slapping is much more frightening, because it is your front wheel that's going (and thus much more difficult to keep the bike straight).
I am, however, pleased to report to have not fallen (yet) in any of these occurances... . The remedy in all cases being to ease of the gas (slowly!) and trying to keep going as straight as possible until grip comes back.
I did ask my friend to stop for a few seconds so I could tell my heart to stop stopping and start beating...

I'm not a cyclist my self, but here's something a friend of mine once said:
There's no such thing as aquaplaning on a motorcycle. Before aquaplaning sets in you'll land flat on your face.
I guess there's some truth to that, if you don't get too scientific about it.
Ride safely!
