Yes, the only thing broken was the display. When I got home I plugged in an external monitor to back up stuff from the trip, then dumped it all onto a new machine. The HDD is still sitting here somewhere, labelled with the computer name and date it came out.

Good.
Displays don't like too much heat either.
Here in TX, it gets quite hot.
Laptops need to be treated carefully if you use them outside.

At least in the past I saw computers advertise temperature extremes and they were not all that great. Maybe by the pool (or on a porch in a mild Maine day if you are into that.)
But looks like they do build for more extreme conditions if you look.

Most airbases I work on either have permanent buildings or at worst "shipping containers with windows" cabins, all with aircon of some sort.
This one was still being set up, and we were working out of a large tent. A container arrived a couple of days too late.

Here is one link for Geocentric view of Earth orbiting. it may not be that easy...
I already got help from this Lounge to get JPL data source for each planet's orbits.

Start by finding out the date and time.
When you have that, work out where in it's orbit Earth is - unless you are currently resident on a different planet, in which case use that one instead.
Then work out the location of each other relevant planet or moon.
Basic geometry will then give you the vectors. Extend the vectors to the zodiac zones and Robert is your mother's brother.
Then all you have to do is find someone gullible enough to believe in that twaddle.

I agree with OriginalGriff's 'twaddle' statement. But why can't you just use a planetarium program, set it to the time you want, and find the planet's position on the ecliptic? Then figure out how that relates to 'zodiac zones,' and you are done. Ain't nothing hard about that. Any basic planetarium program gives ecliptic positions.

Most planetarium programs give results accurate to an arc-second or less, so your reply is meaningless. It's pretty f***ing easy to subtract differences. You could script the problem in Stellarium.

PS - the chart you exampled wasn't using anything more challenging than 30° zodiac bands. You just need to know if it uses the tropical or sidereal zodiac.

It IS that easy. Planetarium programs like Stellarium ARE geocentric, although some of them have the ability to move off-Earth.
