I don't believe OG is a programmer, I think (and I believe) he is some sort of businessman, who just "accidently" entered CodeProject and is defining the term, "I came, I saw, I conquered".
Am I close, OG?

I just played my role in this. Worth a 24, I guess!
Happy New Year, Sander!

It wasn't much fun to be fair.

Edited my original post with instructions to enable telnet.
Although it now costs you about a minute instead of seven seconds

Worth opening up the telnet port?
We have differing definitions for "worth".

I'm assuming my work network is not going to let me telnet to that site.
I did, however, go for a look at the website.

I love Dutch, it's basically just English in a very silly accent.

Except that it's not Dutch
In Germanized English with maybe a little Dutch...
The telnet would give you ASCII Star Wars in your command prompt by the way

Doesn't Dutch just mean German anyway?
ps I didn't think it was real Dutch, or Deutsch.

chriselst wrote: Doesn't Dutch just mean German anyway? NEIN! Which is German for "no" and which is "nee" in Dutch.
Dutch is the language people from The Netherlands speak. Never knew why we call people from The Netherlands the Dutch who speak Dutch. Netherlandish seems so much more appropriate.
Also don't confuse The Netherlands with Holland as Holland are only two provinces of The Netherlands (North Holland and South Holland (in which I happen to live)).
Holland doesn't have its own language.
Friesland (or Frisia), another province of The Netherlands, does have its own language though.
We're known for tulips, windmills, clogs (the wooden shoes), Heineken, Philips, and weed. Also, the words "dijk" and "apartheid" are Dutch and have no other translations worldwide (we used to be influential somewhere in history)
Germany is our neighboring country.
They're know for beer, Oktoberfest (where they drink beer), more beer, and a famous, moustached, politician who made furore during the first half of the 40's.
They speak German, which is no way like Dutch (or Netherlandish)
Well, ok, they're maybe a little bit alike.
"German" is "Deutsch" in German and "Duits" in Dutch.
"Dutch" is "Nederlands" in Dutch and "Niederländisch" (or "Holländisch") in German.

Yeah, you're just relaxed Germans.

Never heard that word in my life. After some googling though, it means dyke (or dike)

Yeah, pronunciation is the same though. English just can't spell
And speaking about spelling, why is "pronunciation" one of the hardest words to spell in your language?
|
|
|
|
|
And why is "abbreviate" so long?
|
|

Indeed! And apartheid means segregation and is an Afrikaans construction from Dutch roots. Apart from that the unique to Dutch no translation statement is spot on!
