See, guitars are so amazing, so amazing. Many great great people play guitar, all across the country, people say to me, "Wow, how could you make all these sounds from some strings and electronics", and I say to them We are going to do great, great things, we are going to get rid of all this mass produced radio music, we are going to get good people making good music again folks and it's going to be amazing. Thank you all.

I guess because you only need to remember like 3-5 cords to play it properly XD (it's even easier if you play power cords)

What did you buy? What amplifier? Images please

To be frank, I bought a real cheap one just for leaning's sake. It's Yamaha F310. But I will think of buying a more expensive one only if I get any better at playing guitar. As I said I am more a piano player and have Yamaha MM6.
You have just been Sharapova'd.

A acoustic. Good choice when learning the guitar. I own a Yamaha as well (1 of 6 ), very happy with it

I tried picking up the guitar a few years ago. Smoke on the water was one of the first songs.
One song I can recomend is Depeche Mode - personal jesus. Really simple to do.
Disturbed - darkness. Also quite simple yet beautiful to play yourself.
I remember that I used something called tabs which made it super easy as long as the song wasnt too complex.

There's a guitar shop in town that has a sign on the wall saying that anyone playing Smoke on the Water will be thrown out of the shop.

Strange that I received an email notification for this message just now.
Even I know a few stores like that. What they don't realize is that that's the first tune almost everyone plays when they try to learn guitar.
You have just been Sharapova'd.

On the contrary, that is exactly what they have realized, they've just gotten seriously tired of hearing differently mangled versions of the same tune every day.
