What kind of overzealous moderation do you mean?

I do not know of what's happening these days, but at least a year or so ago, there were people from the community that took the liberty to mock people whenever possible, and in extreme cases even delete questions that they deem not fit.
I reckon this gentleman with Russian sounding name was behind most of those. I think there were a few threads on that in the lounge and elsewhere.

Very few people can delete threads and we trust those with power who can do so. And if you look, you can see your Russian gentleman has been in hibernation some time.
Thanks,

I wouldn't have known of the hibernation. Not been taking part much in the technical and q/a forums myself for a while now. I only knew of that because of the noise that was created a while ago.

Now that you know why it was closed, you may open a new question with the proper details/info...
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

I wouldn't bother...what possible solution could there be? If he doesn't like how a google product performs then he should contact google and tell them to make their coders get good.

That's an oxymoron!
Why, you don't have a nitrogen cooled hexacore overclocked to 5 Ghz with 128 GB of overclocked DDR4 and 1TB od SSD in RAID 0 and a Gigabit Internet connection? Well, you sure lag behind!

Actually the question is more than two weeks old. Periodically we go in and delete questions that have been unanswered for a week. Reason being, at that point they're unlikely to be answered, which doesn't have any value to the question asker and doesn't have any value to the site because it's a question that will sit there with no answer.
Thanks,

OK. I think I've able to realize the reason now. Thanks for letting me know I will try to keep all these in my mind when asking a question in future.
Thanks again!

What I want to know is what the devil is a Norse god doing down in a Greek speaking country anyway. Should be Poseidon or someone, and I always sacrifice a generous libation to him every sailing season. No trouble there.

It's our first proper rain of the year, but when it comes down this hard. it tends not to do much good for the dams.
