I want to prove a few concepts on SQL Server so I need to fill up a some tables with a pretty large amount of data.
Preferrably readableish if it's strings and also preferrably with a standard distribution.
But anything will do if it works, I'm lazy you know.
Any recommendations?

Redgate has a trial version of their data generator you can try

Brilliant, exactly what I need, the trial version is fully functional as well nowadays, it used to be quite limited in database size.
It's a pity that it's outside of my budget.

If you're a baseball fan, you can grab real data to import. Its all in XML format and you'll have to parse through it.

I've written some code which does the following:
- Count the amount of (non-readonly) boolean properties of an object
- Generates as many object instances as needed to cover all variatons of true/false booleans on the object
I needed this one for a class that controlled how data was taken from the database and displayed, and for the tests I wanted to have all variations covered since each constellation can influence the way data is being displayed.
I can send you the code chunks, if you want to.
