That would be one implementation, yes.
I actually meant this.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

I don't know what the heck, but contacts on my Android phone have been randomly disappearing. It's totally frustrating. Any idea what could be going wrong folks? I've got my accounts properly added & sync settings all good. & I do not fiddle with contacts list in my google accounts through desktops or any other means.

Those contacts have been removed by The Matrix.
I would do a full synch, go into >>App Settings >>Contacts and clear all data; then resynch

You don't have those contacts linked to Outlook do you (Rather than your Google contacts)? I had a problem with some missing contacts recently, MS had updated their ToS or something and I had to log in to the account again. The only way I found out was by opening outlook to see if the contacts where in there and being greeted by the message.

I havent linked them with Outlook. Outlook is a dreaded name for me on phone. I had once lost a whole bunch of contacts with wrong syncing in my Windows Mobile, very old one.
This issue, I'd been trying to figure out the problem, whenever I'm getting some time to fiddle with my Android phone. Lets see!

In the push towards AI older equipment is bound to develop alzheimers, senility, loss of balance/vision and even dementia.
If it was microsoft the solution would be to format it and reinstall from scratch (temporary at best - till real work needs to be done)
but it's android, only solution there is buy a new one.
