So it wasn't just me? Lots of funny once dialog replicated three or four times. I give it maybe 6 episodes, and it's done. Sort of an unfunny Galaxy Quest.

Maybe they had a bunch of actors lying around with no work? Why not make another remake, of a remake, of a remake, of a remake?

I don't think it is: I think it's a offshoot, of a reboot, of a remake, of a remake. It's bound to be different from the original, if only because our user interface technology has vastly surpassed the Original Series UI of clunking individual switches, and having anything worse than ours would be totally unbelievable1. And having aliens that look a bit less like a human in yet another rubber mask has got to be good - the original Klingons didn't even have rubber masks!
Mind you, I haven't seen it yet, except for trailers.
1 - unless it had "iStarFleet" on it, in which case I'd prefer the clunky switches, please.

I hear you. However, I am done with Star Trek. It is all just noise to me now.
So everything sounds like a remake of a reboot of a remake of a reboot - whether I am correct or not (probably not).

Wonder if a spoof of this would work? A bigger and badder switch for everything! Could call it Star Trek Clunkery.

I was ok with it until I saw Michelle Yeoh get beat easily by a Klingon. Not an army of Klingons. Not a small band of Klingons. ONE FREAKING Klingon! Michelle Yeoh??? I don't think so!

Yes - it was ok; a little confused but well done. None of his stories read that well so translating them for video is always going to be difficult.

Total Recall and Running man, werent they Phillip K Dick books originally?

"We wil remember your dreams for you, wholsale" wasnt it?
Bloody good film though. Arnie was classic in it!

Yup and spot on. He has made some great films, Arnie. Terminator I & II, Predator, Total Recall, Last Action Hero, True Lies, Twins. He's in pre-prod for the Terminator reboot -

I was working in a cinema in st albans when terminator 1 came out. Christ, that was a long time ago!

Really? I lived in London Colney for a while - nice place.

Just down the road towards potters bar isnt it?
I used to live off London road st albans, round the corner from the Odeon when i was at hatfield uni doing engineering. The cinema was an evening job, it was a good laugh actually, still chat to some of the people I met there. And watched a lot of films, many many times, out of india, water, terminator etc.
We used to rent rooms with a farmer on lord brockets land up in welwyn, that was nuts. But a good laugh, tractor racing through the woods! A lot of fun.

Ha! The farm is now Brockets golf academy!

I wonder if they emptied the drawers of the used plates! LOL!
Just up from the farm near the river they filmed part of Willow. I met the main actor, and they filmed a soup commercial there too.
Also Highlander. I used to go to the farm through the main drive of the estate, and one day I saw an 18th century carriage and loads of people milling about. They had put mud on the road to make it look authentic. Til I drove through it in my Triumph Herald and left two bloody great big tyre tracks through it!

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep - most of his books and stories are not that great - hard to read and a bit silly but the underlying themes are what sets him apart.

Yeah, wondered if he had got the name of the book wrong.
Bit of a dull film though.
