Still, the fact that they raised over 1/2 million $ is impressive. And one of the founder's is a friend of mine, 20 minutes up the road. Go figure.

Please tell me this is a parody.
Oh dear. It's not.
The bit where they say get paid and then say the internet is bad because it's money based...
And the bit about all the deep thinking about humanity has been done...
And the intensely earnest and music one would expect to be played as background to, I dunno, a documentary about dying kittens or something...
I respect innovation. I have a deep distaste for those who claim they know it all and resort to vapid statements to prove it.

I know. It seems like nowadays the world of tech has three distinct personas:
- The 1950's cubicle farm, COBOL / mainframe persona
- The cool we're actually doing real things like SpaceX persona
- The new age we're smith-wording new concexts into em-urgent planetary care zones

I find the entire style of the video sliiiightly hyperbolic. As for the technology, I see no revolution, but I might be missing something. P2P in the browser has been around for a bit e.g: WebRTC - Wikipedia

No you can't just hand over your PC. You have to buy a Holo-box.
The human-focused future of the internet lies in a hardware monopoly.

You can install the Holo app and let it run in the background, thereby earning Holo credits to pay for the hosting you suspect you may need at a future date.

If you want to learn about building a new internet using peer to peer devices for storage and computing you're probably better off watching Silicon Valley. It's the exact same thing, only funnier.
You can download the whole series from peer to peer services like Kazaa. It'll probably take you over a month to do so however due to the inherent performance and connection issues associated with p2p technology. While you're waiting you can try to play some peer-to-peer online games while suffering the inherent performance and connection issues that come with p2p tech. Maybe make some posts on p2p social networks like Diaspora (what? never heard of it?).
Once you finally understand it all install Holochain and start participating in their app eco-system. 99% of which are bitcoin miners.

No, he passed about 8:00 AM this morning.
I live near Charlotte, NC, and until mid-January, used to work in Charlotte; my regular commute would take me past Billy Graham Parkway where the Billy Graham Library is. Normally, that is not an issue; however, when his wife, Ruth, passed, she was buried at the Library - traffic was horrendous that day.
If I were still working in Charlotte, I'd be working from home on the day of his services - he will be buried beside his wife - and traffic is going to be horrendous that day, too.
