The "refined type" is probably "cast", the initials are PO, but I'll clueless on the "D".

I split the hint. A podcast is episodically online, or regular.

Shorten my initials: PO'H = PO.
Refining a type: Downcast
Possession: Own
Removed from Downcast = Dcast.
Podcast.

...the world championchip in alcoholism[^] will be opened. This year it will be held here in Munich, as always.
The team from New Sealand is top candidate for the worst drunkard awards, followed by Australia. Also as every year.

Why couldn't they wait 9 more days until is actually IS October?
Actually a serious question, why does it start in September?

Perhaps because the locals are so drunk the whole year round that they can't tell the date?

One good reason: The weather. These are the last few weeks of fairly good weather. One or two weeks into October and it will be more like it is in England.

Probably for similar reasons some magazines published in September have "December" written on the cover.

Did you know that they tear everything down afterwards and start rebuilding every summer? This year I can forget it, but next spring I want to do something like this[^] on the hallowed grounds. But it's not the first time I say that.

Covenant - We Stand Alone[^]
I've known Covenant for about 15 years now.
Not that I ever listened to them, but they shared a name with a black metal band I did listen to (who had to change their name to The Kovenant because of this Covenant).
Anyway, when I saw Covenant was playing at a free festival in my area I had to check them out.
I'm not very fond of their vocalist, but they're awesome live on stage.
This track in particular blew me away, so it's this week's SOTW

The whole album is cool.
IMO, the late 90's and early 2000 was the golden age of industrial music.
