It is fermenting in my brain and will be along shortly ...
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect. - Mark Twain

Is that your riddle? Then please tell us how many letters.
Edit: Prion! That must be it! It ferments your brain and is quite a short word. Only with the 'a long' clue I don't know what to do.
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.
His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

And after that you will drag us to the opera[^], right?

Absolute classic, although I must admit I was expecting this one[^]

I have a friend in Minsk
Who has a friend in Pinsk
Whose friend in Omsk
Has friend in Tomsk
With friend in Akmolinsk
His friend in Alexandrovsk
Has friend in Petropavlovsk
Whose friend somehow
Is solving now
The problem in Dnepropetrovsk
And when his work is done -
Ha ha! - begins the fun
From Dnepropetrovsk
To Petropavlovsk
By way of Iliysk
And Novorossiysk
To Alexandrovsk to Akmolinsk
To Tomsk to Omsk
To Pinsk to Minsk
To me the news will run,
Yes, to me the news will run!
And then I write
By morning, night
And afternoon
And pretty soon
My name in Dnepropetrovsk is cursed
When he finds out I publish first!

Ugh, the problem with classical music these days is that it's just too much sax and violins
I do love me some of the good old ultra violins though
But seriously, good stuff
As far as violins is concerned I really like Vivaldi's four seasons.

You haven't given a Kenny G track for the Sound of the Week, and if you do I'll never listen to another thing you say!

Don't worry, he's not making the SOTW anytime soon

Seems like I have to listen to some more Glinka

Next time I'm buying classical music I'm keeping an eye open for Glinka

We had a fairly wild windstorm in Toronto the other day which ripped some siding from my neighbours house. It was banging against our balcony so I hunted high and low for something long enough to tie it down.
Rope? No. Bungy cords? Nope. String? No. 12 feet of cat5 cable? Absolutely!
cheers

It's like I don't even know you any more. How about you drink a VB and then re-post.
I found about 4 metres of Cat-5 and tied it down using a Truckies Hitch.

Well I hope you didn't do the knots up too tight: you'll get signal degradation.

I just hope your neighbor does not own a sailing boat and has to discover your revolutionary new rigging in the middle of the ocean.
