But you have to admit it's handy to have an "all-in-one" ALL THE TIMES you suddenly have to send a fax???

they still use fax here in Asia,

I think I paid $70 (Canadian) for my Canon scanner (USB, single function) years ago, which must be the same if not even cheaper nowadays. Nothing fancy, but it'll handle up to 8.5" x 14" or so, so plenty good for most basic needs. The exact model is a Canon CanoScan LiDE 100.
Bonus (and this is sometimes important): I never had to install any of the bundled crapware to get it going, and every Windows OS I've used it with so far (7 x64 and above) has recognized it out of the box with no fussing with drivers.

Except for angry notes in the office. You are required by law to use Comic Sans for that!

Interesting.
If the soapbox ever comes back, that should be the only font available.

5 x 3 pixels[^], what do you need more?
3 x 3[^] is a little too spartan, even for my taste.
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.
His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

We have Windows 10 on a 24" wide screen so we need a font that is 64x96 at least! It would never do to have more than three words per screen!

Thanks for the links, always looking for fonts for embedded stuff and these are good!

That 5x3 is a rather remarkable achievement. It could be improved by not bothering with differences between upper and lower case and disambiguating a few letters from numbers.
