There's always room for another good cover. But this one may upset some of you - especially if you're Led Zep fans. And I count myself as one. So here we go: Corinne Bailey Rae does "Since I've Been Loving You". Don't dismiss it without giving it a listen. If nothing else, check out the the amazing double bass.

Music needs lyrics. Lyrics tell a story. This is a nice story.

Awesome. I'm old enough to remember Small Faces. They were brilliant. I doubt that the soundtrack of the 60s will ever be bettered and Itchycoo Park & Lazy Sunday were a big part of that. And then Stanley Unwin gets added to the mix. It's impossible not to smile.

This might have been asked earlier as well (or not), but how do you keep a cache of most common (spam, off-topic, homework, wrong-type) messages?
And how do you post them that fast?
The only thing I can think of is that you have some sort of a process and you use the API to submit the responses, etc. But what's the recipe?

I used to do that, but then I overengineered it and used a DB, so I could search easily and keep them in "most commonly used" order. Then I overengineered that, so SQL Server was involved to share it across my devices.
Works for me.

Reminds me of the space race between NASA and the Russians. NASA developed a database so they could control the order of things. Russia just prefixed their filenames with a number
You should develop a browser plug-in that analyses the content of the current page and suggests an auto-reply for you. Would make an interesting article.

My first thought on reading that was of old BASIC; you were advised to increase line numbers in 10s in case you needed to insert some code later on.
10 PRINT "I love BASIC"
20 GOTO 10

That sounds pretty good. Could you send the codez pleez?

The main reason I have "boiler-plate" messages is to prevent me being rude to the elephanting idiots that think the world should do their homework for them, or that google is hard to use.
Having a boilerplate "we don't do your homework" message prevents me from venting at them, which has to be good for everyone in the long run. I still get tempted to add a little something to a few of 'em though ...

WinForms.
Part of the idea was to overengineer it even further and push it to Xamarin Forms and Win / Android so I could use it on my phone, but ... I never got around to learning Xamarin in sufficient detail.
Maybe I'll use it as a Blazor testbed if I ever get round to learning that ...

WPF still feels "unfinished" to me, and I suspect the large part of that is the designer, which just isn't up to the WinForms standard. I also use WinForms for just about everything Windows!
As to the code ... no, sorry - it was written many years ago and it shows! Iit's some pretty poor quality code and I'm not letting it out in the wild!
