Hmmm,
After doing a bit of research it seems that miscommunication over text is fairly common. I found an interesting Honor's thesis done by a graduate of Liberty University (Klingensmith)
It's a fairly interesting read:
https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/6d1c/42aff4de6dd891f0130dbf333f02ad824032.pdf[^] On page 12 the section titled 'Erroneous Statements and Miscommunication in Text Message Communication' gives a great overview of the research done at the time the paper was written.
The results of the experiment are explored beginning on page 20 with a table of conclusions on page 22. According to the experiment Anger was misinterpreted about 20% of the time with P=.026 at a sample size of 40 participants.
The methodology looks a bit flawed however, so I would question the accuracy. The real value in reading the paper for a laymen like myself is the amazing list of sources at the bottom of the paper. This isn't really a subject that I am interested in... but if I want to explore further I would start at one of those sources.
Best Wishes,

Randor wrote: miscommunication over text is fairly common. An understatement.
The problem with just text is there is no tone or emotion involved in the message and so our brain will fill in the gaps. We use our own bias and prejudice to complete the message instead of just leaving it as is.
I've been accused of a lot of things on this site and it always makes me chuckle because they have nearly always been wrong and it ends up revealing their own bias and says more about them than it does me.
I think it's a fascinating subject.

Yeah,
I mentioned this in my original post. When searching using the site: operator the search engine works well with codeproject. But without it I can't find much of anything on the site in default search mode.

So seize the day back again and ask Paul pointed questions about how exactly it is that he knows this information. I've an inkling that may swap the expressions on your faces..

No need to ask. It's a well-known fact that all British men are cross-dressers, and this was just a soft-core version.

No points for guessing the expression on my face.

The website is hilarious once you get over the horrible images!
Sad, it doesn't come in a Fred Flintstone print.

It even has its own Haiku
For me it would be more appropriate:

I didn't want to advertise. You know how we feel about that kind of thing. But I'm pretty proud of this haiku.

A recent thread on how OG keeps track of his activity seeks to understand his remarkable abilities rationally, as if he were somehow endowed with more cores, more cudas, more ram, etc.
I think what is important is to understand these remarkable facilities' manifestations as the secondary effects of events/realities on other planes, dimensions. Just as gravity waves may be a result of black-hole mergers.
Of course, when you attempt to speak of "essence" of an "otherness:" that may leave you at best tongue-tied, at worst prattling pseudo-religiosity a la new age drivel.
Yet, one may encounter an icon, or proverb, that at least reminds you of that "otherness:" for me that happened watching the series "Boardwalk Empire," season 4, episode 2, 14:00, "Resignation," where Nucky Thompson asks his butler/driver, Eddie Kessler (who is showing signs of dementia), what he thinks about a deal.
Kessler replies: ""Mr. Thompson is part of everything. He's in the sky and sea. He's in the dreams of children at night. He is all that there is, forever."
And, that is how I dimly grok what OG is capable of

I believe you are assigning rather more capability to me than I actually possess.

If you are what I (dimly) sense you are, your human proxy would exhibit exactly such humility !
