I remember Trump suggesting something similar - just a bit less tasty

I feel for people working in shops who will now have to wear a mask all day long - that just sounds like hell.
Also pubs having to provide table service and close by 10pm is slightly bonkers and will really hit some smaller pubs.

I wore a mask when I went to get groceries. I went to two or three places and even wore the mask in the car between visiting those places. When I got home I unpacked and put away the groceries and then went and read a book, watched a film and only remembered I had a mask on when I made a cup of tea and tried to drink!
The mask was properly fitted, comfortable and not in the least inconvenient, except for eating and drinking, obviously.
What's the big deal with wearing a mask? If you think it is choking you then you are wearing it wrong. My son has asthma and wears a mask with no problem. A friend smokes but she wears a mask at all other times without any issues.
Wearing a mask protects others from your spit and protects protects you from breathing their exhalations. Just wear it, get used to it. Make sure you are wearing a proper mask and wearing it properly - it's supposed to cover your nose as well as your mouth! If it isn't comfortable, get another mask that is.
My company sold masks (to raise charity money, we do a lot of that) so I bought a couple. They were quite snazzy but were also too small, tight and uncomfortable. So I carried on wearing my other masks. No problem.

Indeed. I keep seeing people who don't cover their nose, or don't realize they are supposed to press it over the bridge of your nose (that's why there's a wire at the top!) so the air you exhale isn't blowing upwards, bypassing the mask (and steaming up your glasses).
Apart from that, the cheap masks costing less than a buck don't filter out much, are uncomfortable to wear, and anyway are supposed to be dumped after an hour or two. In the long run it's cheaper to buy a reusable mask that can be worn for a day and then washed. I've read masks made from fleece are the safest ones (also typically the most expensive ones - but when it comes to your health, how much is it worth to you?)

Yes, but two minutes too late.
(And I didn't notice - I started typing the Solution post at the 4 hour mark but got interrupted before posting it.)

Most of the regulars know there is a 4 hour time limit on them, and now, you are one of those people that know too!
It has been called up before (sorry no link) but usually people are lenient if it's close to the wire. Like today, when Griff has offered that you can take the win if you want it.

No, because it's not happened before!
You are a unique case
Seriously, this is meant to be fun - if you want the win, it's yours! Nobody will mind at all, just say the word.

He's telling the truth - most of the regulars know there is a four hour limit (it's in the rules) just as there was in the original Dalek Dave CCC.
But we've not had to enforce it until today!

So basically due to injury in one of my legs, I have to reduce the strain on my legs for a few weeks.
Driving is not the issue but when in city and waiting for signals, I have to keep my legs on the brake to prevent the car from going forward or backward (neutral gear) due to inclinations and I do not want to keep pressing on the brake.
So What I do it using my hand brake to keep the car still.
Whats is the downside of it ?
cheers,
Super
