(and how big is my ego that I think anyone would actually be wondering)
...it's because I've been writing a book for the last 6 months with a friend of mine.
The Three-Membered Organization of the Social Organism In the Context of the 21st Century and America and its Individual and Group Realization.
Yeah, it's a mouthful.
[edit]I should have pointed out that the intended audience for this book are people familiar with Anthroposphy and the works of Rudolf Steiner, particularly his writings in the early 10th century regarding social renewal.[/edit]
You can read an excerpt on my blog[^] and if anyone wants the full PDF I'd be happy to send it to them.
And self-publishing in fairly inexpensive nowadays, so that's what I'll be working on next!

What is the purpose of your book? It isn't immediately apparent based on your title, or a skim of the Introductions. I'd recommend a bunch more editing if this is supposed to be something generally approachable by a wide audience.

Yeah, I should have mentioned that the intended audience for this book are people familiar with Anthroposphy and the works of Rudolf Steiner, particularly his writings in the early 19th century regarding social renewal. It's definitely not for the general audience.

Quote: Rather, it's taking some works of Rudolf Steiner written in the early 1900's and bringing it more relevant to today. I recommend a deep dive of edits, as the way it is now comes across as a bunch of mental m**********n, and won't be relevant today. If you want to be relevant today, talk to the people of today, not a small group of mm'rs.
For instance, here is the first sentence of your Introduction:Quote: The purpose of this book is to revisit GA 23 in the context of the 21st century and in relation to the political, economic, and cultural changes that have occurred in America over the last century. This is so mentally abstruse that it actively turns me away from reading any further. What is GA 23? No idea. On the other hand, you could approach it something like,
Quote: I was ten years old when I came across an ad in the Cub Scouts magazine for mental exercises given by the members of the Rosy Cross. They indicated it was possible to get out of my body and meet 'in the astral.' Curiosity piqued, I sent my money in, and tried their techniques! Imagine my excitement when it arrived!
Laying in bed that night, I followed their guidance....
This began my foray into the expansion of consciousness, which led me into curiosities of many topics. I have always wanted to help improve the world, and upon reading the compilation of Steiner's works that is affectionately known as 'GA 23' (because it was the 23rd General Assembly of such and such) (or whatever the reason for this acronym is), I was hooked! Could an application of his theory be applicable for improving our world today?
In this book, it has been my great pleasure to corroborate with Kate to illuminate with as much clarity as possible the ideas espoused by Steiner, and his 'three-fold way.' We have endeavored to make those ideas as relevant to our present day as possible, and it is my great hope that these ideas inspire all of us to incorporate them in our lives, and bring about a new, more sane society! ... I hope you can see what I'm trying to say. I will not be reading your current edition because the present approach has absolutely zero appeal to me.

PS - and do you address Bill Gates' definition of our current system as "Capitalism with a strong social safety net" (or however he worded it) in your book?
