Makes you think.

Hi All,
Going through my E-mail this morning I recieved an E-mail from Apple(!), I have never owned an Apple
device, I am not aware of an iTunes account. From the text it seems like a DVR with Siri attached.
Anybody else get this...

You really need to get out of the pub now and then. Apple has offered this product (currently in it's 4th generation) since 2007. It's similar to Roku devices.
There are two types of people in this world: those that pronounce GIF with a soft G, and those who do not deserve to speak words, ever.

It's a nice pub, with Real Ales & no kairoke (?) machine or annoying duke box! , I was wondering how with no fruit based products they got my E-mail?

I have an apple TV. It works, often with some quirks, but I cannot say if it is better or worse than another product since I haven't compared.

Think it's a scam. My missus got something similar recently.
Thats what I was thinking...

Yeah she never said what product it was - but she's never had iTunes account either so didn't click on it. A work colleague also got something similar recently.
If you google one of the phrases used it will probably tell you exactly what the scam is.

From a quick Google (don't want to waste anymore time) it seems as though it might be real. Apple spamming people!
Even if it is genuinely from Apple, it is still a scam because you'll end up with an Apple product.

ROKU's probably the biggest available base of channels.
Although I can complain about some things (and I usually find a way for everything), it made cutting the a cable very experience. Even Mrs. wife prefers the current setup. We only subscribe to one pay service, Hulu+, and that option, at $8/month, is our entire cable TV bill.
My household owns nothing from apple and intend to keep it that way.

Have you checked if it is really from Apple by looking at the mail headers?
If not it is just spam or in the last resort something harmful.
Well the headers 'seem' to be genuie but I have noticed some thing, if I try to Google anything Google appears not to work!
