The Chinese DGAF about that kind of cr@p. Seriously. If they want information, they don't waste billions of gig of server space and millions of hours trawling through it. It's not their way. They go precisely to where the information is, and primarily talk to people.

The google/US & UK government methodology of scraping every ounce of data about everyone and everything "just in case", is completely alien to them.

I've gotta admit that it doesn't make a sh1tload of sense to me, either, from the point of view of performing efficient activity.

The UK and US demanded a backdoor, but there isn't one, and Huawei doesn't want to build one in, because -- well it's f***ing obvious why a hardware manufacturer wouldn't want to build backdoors into their hardware -- whereas US hardware companies are quite willing to take a knee and do so; that's what all the bollocks is all about.
