Because I said so.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

So let's throw ISO-9001[^] into this based on what I learned when our company, to meet EU requirements to sell products in the not yet created EU, required everyone to take TQM (Total Quality Management) courses.
Q: Baselining - start by documenting your current patterns for managing quality.
A: We have none - they are all ad hoc (this, by the way, is a totally valid answer.)
Q: What incremental improvement can you make to create a repeatable pattern that measurably improves quality?
A: None - nobody can agree on what that pattern looks like even though we all can point to legitimate problems.
And the same applies to coding.
Q: What patterns do you use in your software?
A: None. We have front end, back end, microservices, SQL SP's, home grown tools, tasks as services, etc., combined with in-house, outsourcing, and third party development.
Q: What incremental improvement can you make to create a repeatable pattern that measurably improves software quality?
A: None - nobody can agree on what that pattern looks like even though we all can point to legitimate problems. If they did agree, nobody is around to enforce code reviews.
Besides - nowadays, when I ask the newbies "what's a common Gang of 4 pattern", the answer I might get is "Hmmm, I don't know, selling illicit items on the street corner???"

So... did the company get their ISO cert with those answers?

Those chips are aimed at keeping AMD’s performance lead over its rival Intel in the mobile and server markets. I don't have anything to add, just posting as I posted the new Intel chips (which after research, do not come in 'salt & vinegar')

Developers hate legacy code. It’s dirty, it’s crowded, it’s ugly, it’s messy, it’s… old. But we shouldn’t have a negative outlook on legacy or old code "Why not both?"

Something that sound really promising... but looking at MS work lately...
I wonder how many things will break and how many new security holes have been opened just because of this.
And I wish it would be just an ironic comment... time will tell.
