Microsoft revealed this week that it will no longer support OneDrive on Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 starting on March 1, 2022. That should definitely drive some upgrades

Oh... did Windows 7 have OneDrive?
How could I miss it?

Here's the quote that mystifies me:
“In order to focus resources on new technologies and operating systems, and to provide users with the most up-to-date and secure experience, beginning January 1, 2022, updates will no longer be provided for the OneDrive desktop application on your personal Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 devices,” said a she-her marketing person...
Exactly how much effort does it take to maintain a backup scheme? This is obviously an attempt to dazzle people with elephant cookie. Another name for my clown file.

It's the end of an era. Microsoft's Channel 9 site is folding, with most its content moving over to Microsoft Learn, company officials say. I guess someone lost the remote
"Sandquist’s boss had a terrible fear of flying and refused to board a plane until a United Airlines pilot told him about Channel 9. Once he understood what was happening in the cockpit – and that pilots don’t freak out every time they hit turbulence – he overcame his fear. He also decided Microsoft developers would love their own Channel 9 to eavesdrop on the company’s direction."

I would make a poll asking how many people even heard of it.

There are several ways to make software developers happy. The rationale is that of a return on investment: happy developers are supposedly more productive and, hopefully, also retained. "Shiny happy people laughing"

Really, they couldn't just call it "the Positive and Negative Experience Scale"? Then the acronym would be PANES!

Okay on desktop, no-go on phone. (This PDF, though, was badly formatted.)
