Microsoft says the Cortana, Tips, and WordPad applications will be automatically removed on systems upgraded to the upcoming Windows 11 24H2 release. Cortana: 2014-2024. "She" will not be missed
Although I suppose it's big news for those who have been ignoring her (and Windows Tips) all these years.

IF the article is correct, then those two students are:
1) Better off not being at Emory
2) Have a valid lawsuit against Emory (already been filed)
In the middle of the article, it states

The body launched an investigation into the students, which found that Eightball hadn't assisted with cheating and that the student creators had never lied about its capabilities.
If this statement is true then Emory could be on the hook for more than the $10,000 award they gave for the tool.
