In late December 2023 (Christmas Day to be precise), CPython core developer Brandt Bucher submitted a little pull-request to the Python 3.13 branch adding a JIT compiler. Does it also come with just-in-time whitespace?

Watchout, Python 3.14 will allow circular references.

Just like humans, AI-based large-language models have characteristics such as morals and values. "I know only that what is moral is what you feel good after and what is immoral is what you feel bad after"

Ahhh - where's your optimism? "Point a hose of sh*t at a field, and grow some wonderful mushrooms!"

And if you can't really trust acts... don't get me started about texts explaining that acts (there are as many different versions as there are people writing about the same fact)

My take is that I don't need to bother with deciding to trust/not trust acts or worry too much about hidden agendas.
If I really want any mountains moved any certain direction then worrying with what rocks other people are moving is just wasting time I could be spending moving my own rocks just the way I think they oughta be moved.

The problem is when they are moving their rocks to the position you are taken yours...
Eventually, you will empty the slot anyways (if they are not many or not powerful enough), but it is going to be longer and harder

This is only a real problem if it's a real problem to miss the destination.
You're still gonna stick the landing (and lots of future ones) because you have really strong legs now from moving all those rocks.
There are only absolute failures if you allow there to be.

I like your attitude, but life is sometimes more complicated and out of control than many would like to.

It's easy to talk big on the internet. Now just let me see if I can go walk it a bit.
Sometimes you are absolutely right. Stuff is way more complicated and out of control the world over at the moment.
Be willing to accept some unknowable consequences (if you aren't already). I've been maybe both risk-averse and risk-prone about too many of the wrong things.
So dropping things (and people, at times) and listening for what screams helps to part wheat from chaff. It's what actually needs my attention. Sometimes, I just don't know how else to move any rocks.

Piggybacking off the lessons of "fail fast"? That's good enough to be real.
"Don't start nothin' and there won't be nothin'."
I want to believe that's intentional... not letting things get "too big to fail".
I'm not sure that I do. But maybe they've said so, I have no idea.

But in not letting it too big to fail, I have to partially disagree there were many cancelation at Google of products that I wouldn't say they even reached the "small" part

I'm not totally against any sort of decentralization by a long shot.

You don't have to tell me.
Sadly the most taking decissions ignore it.
