If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

I went to flag this account and it was already closed, one minute after your post. Do you have some kind of superpower?!

This article is in moderation CVE-2020-11074 and the Importance of Input Sanitization[^] from a member who joined today.
It's full of links to genuine reference material such as OWASP, Github, Wikipedia but also contains stuff to Prestashop which smells a little like pressed meat to me.
Possibly one to keep an eye on (hence no member link yet)

Yeah I was in much the same quandary. But ... it looks genuine, so I went with "Tip" instead of spam.
Dodgy though.

I guess it's just my writing style that needs to get better. I modified the article according to your feedback.
I will also start to read more articles on Code Project and read again the submission guidelines before I write my next article.

If you have any example for a great article related to CVE please share it with me. I'm here to learn.

I've had a quick word with him - let's see if that gets anything changed.
If it doesn't, then the purpose of the article is to get the links in, and that's clear cut spam.

Member 14922387 : Thank you for the feedback.
It's not a positive one but I guess I should take it as a lesson and learn from it.
I modified the article. In case you will still decide it's not suitable, the best move will be to remove this article, better understanding CodeProject guidelines, and work on a new version.
You're right about the link to PrestaShop, it wasn't needed since it gives no value to the readers. I was thinking it will help the readers to better understand the context, but I guess I was wrong.
I'm happy with it now, unless there is something I missed?

That actually makes a refreshing change! I'm glad I didn't include a link to the member and looks like it's all sorted now

Shall I do any more changes?
I can't see it online so I'm just wondering about the process

It's still in the moderation queue, which is probably a bug.
But - one of the images is missing (which is partly why it's still not published) - the one immediately above the "Downloading malware" section appears to be linked to Dropbox which is returning a 410 error.
DropBox[^]
Images should be on this site - this may help: Using the Article Editor (without losing your hair in handfuls)[^]

Thank you for letting me know! I will upload the images next time using a different site. Is it possible to edit the article now after it got published?
Or it will send it back to moderation queue?
|
|
|
|
|
Actually we would ask you to upload the images to our article editor itself. We show you how to do so in our FAQ:
Code Project Article FAQ[^]
I've fixed what images I could. If you see any missing please email me at sean@codeproject.com

The link I gave you shows how to store them here (which makes sense, the text they relate to is here as well).
Yes, editing it will send it back to moderation - it's another check for spam or abuse you might have added and happens to everyone until they reach the "moderation not required" rep level: Platinum Author, which requires 10,000 Author points[^]
Editing is easy though: open your article by hovering the mouse over your username at the top right of the page and select "My Articles" from the drop down. Follow the link to the article by clicking, and then loop near the top right for "Update your article". Click that and it goes into edit mode.
