Not possible in windows apps / services , only way is u write a asp.net web application, and host it in a web server that has .Net framework, access your web application from any client machine that has a Internet explorer browser!

Download DirectX, and then take a look at some of the samples. Alternatively, Google for DirectX samples. These are such large areas, that you aren't going to get help on the forums. You will have to do some digging/learning yourself.

pls need help, iam newbie to the .net, working on wildacard search, iam using *, ? but ? is not working properly, my code is

I've a form filled up with a tabcontrol.

Is it possible to place a control (any) that it will be common to every tabpage?

When I try to add a control directly to tabcontrol I get a error (only tabpages can be added to tabcontrol!). When I add a control to a tabpage I'm not capable to make it available on every tabpage anymore...

Anyone can help? Thanks in advanced.

It is imposible to add a control to a tab control. It only takes tabPages so you should add a copies of the control to all the tabPages.

If u dont want to rewrite code, you can place the control / controls in a panel and add the panel to each tabpag during runtime.

Ex: let me have a set of controls and functionality in a panel and this panel is available in form say frmReUseForm. and panels name is panel1 (make the panel public)

in my form that contains the tabcontrol with tab pages,
i write the following code, may be in constructor ,

frmReUseForm obj = new frmReUseForm();

tabpage1.Controls.Add(obj.panel1);
tabpage2.Controls.Add(obj.panel1);
tabpage3.Controls.Add(obj.panel1);
tabpage4.Controls.Add(obj.panel1);

One small mistake, please add the panel to the tabpage on the paint event of each tabpage

Hello,

You would have to do that dynamicaly.
The TabControl has an SelectedIndexChanged Event.

System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlCollection oldContainer;

YoureTabControl.SelectedIndexChanged+=new EventHandler(TabControl_SelectedIndexChanged);

//TODO: set oldContainer to Start TabPage Controls(where your Control is placed at first).

private void TabControl_SelectedIndexChanged(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
    if(oldContainer!=null)
    {
        oldContainer.Remove(YoureControl);
    }
    YoureTabControl.SelectedTab.Controls.Add(YoureControl);
    oldContainer = YoureTabControl.SelectedTab.Controls;

Suppose you have a text box named tb1 on the first tabpage. Now:
If you want to access its value, simply put

MessageBox.Show(this.tb1.Text);

or if you want it to be displayed on each page when the page is selected, then put the following line of code in the tab control's Selected event:

tabcontrol1.TabPages[e.TabPageIndex].Controls.Add(this.tb1);

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean, but if you whant to see your personal datas you have to just click on the Logginname (on the right top of the screen) or at the head next to youre name at the post.

I have used process object and started the process of pptviewer2003 and then using api resized and relocated.

the viewer exe resized and is in the desired position but the presentation is in full screen.

Hi there,

I hope that every .net programmer knows about app.ico. If not then create a windows application in c# and check out the working folder. You could see such a file there. This file is the picture file that is displayed in the exe file(check out debug folder of your application). Now what i need is, i want to change this app.ico through c# coding. Is it possible for changing the application icon at runtime without re-compiling? When i mention a .ico file, at runtime, this new .ico file should replace the existing default app.ico file and my .exe file in debug folder should also posses this image. How can this be made?

Hi ALL,

In DataGridView -> Columns -> Column Type,
we can have any one of the following: Button, Text box,
Link, Combo box, check box, image.

But I need to have a list box for one column.
I should be able to select more than one item from the list.
Since it's NOT possible to have multi-select combobox,
I'm looking for a list box in DataGridView column.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
