You won't find examples for "writing pdf with passsword protection" straightforward. Searching for that won't get you anywhere. What you are looking for is a pdf writing library. Some commercial libraries are out there. As I told you, search CodeProject's articles areas for "pdf", or google for "pdf C# library". That might get you closer.

PS.
Elcomsoft has a program called Advanced PDF password recovery by the way. So, if your documents isn't that value, don't make the effort. Good luck!

Splitting an ArrayList

Hi,

I have an ArrayList which was populated by a text file with no column headers. What I want to do is split the ArrayList into columns then display it in a datagrid. The ArrayList is made up of lines such as

0168EH1X.PA0 020 1 GRA_ 08/14/06 12:16:42

I need to split this into 5 columns under the headings ID, Duration, Status, Channel and DateTime.

I've been trying to do this with the .SubString method but no luck. I know how to define the columns in the grid but I can't split the ArrayList up. Please can anyone help?

Hi,

Yes, it is. Anywhere between 10 and 150 strings. The format for each string is identical.

Simple! use

MyArrayList[X].ToString().Split(' ');

to get an array of strings of each column.

i Know to access the namespace but
using system.io.port
but it works in net.2005 only how can i ?

i don't used the "mscomm" also
i want use the API's

Hello

1- Call CreateFile() and supply it with the name of the port
2- make a FileStream object and give the constructor the handle returned from the above call
3- Use the stream to read/write data from the port.

You could just start the command line compiler of java (System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(...) and check if the appropriate .class file has been generated in the file system.

Hi,

Just execute the command from your c# programme to compile the java code and check the output of that,from that determine the success of that,you also dont need to check for the .class file for the perticular .java ,either way you can do that.

Probably by defining it in the class library, then the windows app can access it. You can't have a global, a public static on a class is the best you can do.

Something like:

"create table Users (Id int primary key, Name varchar(100))"

Look up the reference for the create table command for complete syntax.

I would recommend using OleDb instead of OCDB, if possible.

Also, creating tables is something that you would not normally do from code. If you feel that you need to add tables dynamically to add more data, most likely your database design is not flexible enough.

I am unsure if you can just pass create table syntax to Access, or if you need to use ADOX.
