Yes and no. The separate languages have to be in separate files. You can write a C# class and use in a VB page, or vice versa.

There is no font information in a text file. If you want to add any formatting at all to the text, you have to use a file format that supports it, like for example rtf.

I am not sure you understood the answer you where given.
A text file (.txt) simply can not contain any formatting. It can contain characters only - and even then you need to know the codepage to decode them correctly, unless you use UTF8 or UTF16 with a Byte Order Mark.
If you want to write formatted text, two obvious solutions spring to mind:
Use rtf format - create a small example text in Write (not Word, it clutters the rtf with too many codes) save it as rtf, rename it to .txt and then open it in notepad. Alternatively create a RichTextControl (it can be hidden) and set the text and formatting in this control and get the RTF from it.
Instead of RTF, you should consider simply writing HTML.

What file format have you chosen?

How i can get an UserName from a Process?
(like TaskBar)
|
|
|
|
|
u can use System.Diagnostics.Process namespace eg:
to get the current process
System.Diagnostics.Process p= System.Diagnostics.Process.GetCurrentProcess();
now p.ProcessName will give the name of the process...

i wanted to implement the following thing.
class abc
abc=new abc();
abc.parameters.add("","","","","","");
i think parameter should be a ParameterCollection type.
i added the property type parameter collection in the abc class.
but how to implement the following thing
add("","","","","","");
Soniagupta1@yahoo.co.in
Yahoo Messenger Id = soniagupta1

What is this ? ParameterCollection's Add() method takes Parameter object. So how this is possible ?

i meant can i overload a method with that argument
Soniagupta1@yahoo.co.in
Yahoo Messenger Id = soniagupta1

do you mean a param array?
like
void foo(params string[] args)
{
Console.WriteLine("You provided {0} arguments!",args.Length);
foreach (string arg in args)
{
Console.WriteLine(arg);
}
}

Hi,
How do you localize an image (e.g. flag) so that depending on the culture selected the image (flag) changes. For example if it is English (AU) then the Australian flag will load... if it is German then the Germany flag will load, etc...
I am using C#.NET.
Thank you in advance for your help.

U need to have various flags stored in your DataBase or Filesystem ...and then based on the culture load the appropriate flag...( actually i don't understand u'r question do u want to load a flag specific to the culture that the client machine belongs to ?)

Hi Koushik,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
I need to localise a jpeg image of some kind. I have decided to pick flags.
I need to insert a lang-locale code.
I am guessing I need to store the country flag under the resource resx file? And depending on the country/language selected it will load the appropriate flag??? Just sure how to do this...

Hey u can do like that for easy coding store the Flags with filenames like "En-en" I mean same as the culture name and load those images based on the culture

Yeah that is what I want to do...
E.g. 2 cultures:
1. UIStrings.de.resx (German)
2. UIStrings.id.resx (Indonesian)
So do I store the flag image in the resource file under images? Do you know what code I need to put in the form where the picture is?
Thanks for your help

Thanks Koushik
I have added a flag to UIStrings.resx (default) file and one in the UIStrings.de.resx (German) file.
What is the source code for loading the image?
I am assuming it is similar to a string.
E.g. this.btnOK.Text = res.GetString("OK").
Can you please help with this?
Thanks,
