Hi all... and Happy new year!
I already posted but got and found no solutions, I'll try to explain in a easier way:
When I launch my XmlWriter.Serialize(MyType), it doesn't work. Usually when .NET uses the dll MyType.XmlSerializers.dll, which is compiled together with MyType.dll. At run time, if .NET does not find MyType.XmlSerializers.dll it creates at execution time.
Now my problem is that it seams like .NET is using a completely different xmlserializer. And it always throws a
System.InvalidOperationException, There was an error generating the XML document.
String cannot have zero length at System.Reflection.Assembly.nLoad()
Does somebody have a tip?
P.S.: My app is an addon, so probably .NET is invoking an xmlserializer of the main app. When I run the addon by itself everything works.

I found the solution on my own:
In the addon binding I have to add the following event:
<br />
AppDomain currentDomain = AppDomain.CurrentDomain;<br />
currentDomain.AssemblyResolve += new ResolveEventHandler(currentDomain_AssemblyResolve);<br />
In that event I can specify the path of the dll I wish to use.

Hi,
When I went to setup 'AdoNetAccelerator-10', I was prompted to provide with a SQL server name. I do not know if that's also OK against an Oracle 10g DB.
I actually have a problem with 'SqlNetFramework' for this line
IDataReader reader = SqlNetFramework.Management.DbManager.Instance.ExecuteReader(0, conn, paramValues);
The error is
Error 1 The name 'SqlNetFramework' does not exist in the current context

Either try it or ask the vendor.

Have you added a reference to the relevant dll?

Thanks.
What is the exact reference name of 'SqlNetFramework'?
Many Thanks & Best Regards,

Again, its a 3rd party product so ask the vendor - SqlNetFramework is not a native .net component.
They have a website with example code, so why not look at that?

Hi All,
I am using C#.net to develop a web application. I have a gridview and a table displaying two different lists of data. I want to have the backcolor of the cell (of both gridview and table) to blink between two colors, say for example the cell background color must blink (two colors using yellow, green).
Is this possible ? I am able to only set the backcolor property with just one value.
Can anyone help me with some ideas on how to get this working ?
Thanks.

First, I think you may get better responses if you post in the Web Development forum. I would like to preface my input by saying that I'm not 100% certain on how you intend the 'blinking' to function. Will it blink on some time interval, toggle between postbacks, or in some other manner? That is very important, because if it will be happening on postbacks, then it can be done in ASP.NET page code just toggling the color properties of the objects; however, if this needs to occur without postbacks then you're going to have to do it with client-side JavaScript. So, your solution can be drastically different depending on how you need it to work.

I am using a third party program, which has a UI. Basically for logging off and logging in, to my broadband internet connection. All i need to do is wite a program or may be windows service which would Automatically run this application, bring the UI (till here its easy), and then click on Log In Button which is on the Application s UI. And all this has to be done while am asleep , i mean it has to happen automatically using the service. Now i have already written the service for running the application and bringing the UI in front, all i need to do is Click on the Log In Button.
So there goes my requirement. Can you suggest any way to do it.
Thanks in Advance.

I alredy tried that. The SendWait command is very improbable. I tried and got unlikely results...for at times it would yield expected results and other, nothing would be sent. Anything else that can be done.
Thanks for the suggestion

Maybe you have to use some unmanaged code. Simply speeking, get the Login button's handle and post the click message.

Hi Tan,
How can i determine what message has to be sent.Lets say for the specific UI, for Log In Button the message specified is "&H307". But how can i know that.
I tried using spy++ but couldnt find a way to determine what message has to be sent. I also checked the list of common messages but i dont think they would serve the purpose.
So can u suggest a way how can i know what message has to be sent to trigger a particular button click (on the UI).
Thanks for the help so far.

I do not understand. If you know the server's IP, you can connect it directly without considering the router.

In fact, I use router at home and I could ping other PC successfully. So check the configuration of the router. Maybe that's the real problem.

I sincerely hope those aren't real ip's.
Never post any real data on forums, you never know who is going to see them.
As to your problem.
If you are within the network then you don't need your router.
If not you will probably need to authenticate yourself with the router after which you can then log on to the server.
Or you can set your router to forward requests using remote desktop port (is a specific one but don't remember it right now) to the server.
Then you can connect using the routers ip (or a dyndns address).
