When we drag a ContextMenuSrip then it get intiated with 'component' IContainer...I read on MSDN and it was written that its for focus management. But I didn't get what type of focus it needs ?? and Timer component also needs it but even its not visible then what type of focus is it ??
Actually, I'm trying to loop through every control in form but when I tried I couldn't find ContextMenuStrip in that collection. However MenuStrip do exists.
The exact problem is here...I've wrote some code in a form and then inherit it in other forms but the both forms' 'component' objects are differ as they are private and I need to execute a loop in the main form...All the controls in Controls property can be found but not in that IContainer.

Okay, that thread has an answer but CMS is a control.
I inherited CMS in a class and didn't add constructor with IContainer param and when I dragged it to the form it worked normal but designer didn't add it in Control Collection...

Define spesific bit to be use
I don't know how to do it
at c++ i should define it as

unsigned long m_id :3;
unsigned long m_src :4;

unsigned long m_timer :18;
unsigned long m_reserved :1;
} WiMAXBlock1HeaderT;
how can i define it at C#?
thanks

Hi,
those are bit fields, not a bitmap. And C# doesn't offer any help at all for doing such things. You could define a struct with public properties that contain code to perform all the bit operations (AND, OR, SHIFT).

This struct is equal unsigned long variable which is similar to ulong .NET type.But you should define your own logic to extract the members from the variable.This stuff should help.

This looks a little like a BitArray . You might take a look at the documentation MSDN[^], and see if it suits.

I am binding dropdownlist zone from database and want to add keyword "SELECT"
as first values (at 0 index).
My code is
ddlZone.Items.Insert(0, "SELECT");
but its not working.
Can anyone help me
Thanks

Hmm.. looks ok to me. Do you databind before you call the Items.Insert method?
Maybe you could post some more code..?
|
|
|
|
|
Yes i binding data. My complete function is
private void BindZOne()
{
using (Common ComObj = new Common())
{
DataSet Ds = ComObj.BindZone();
if (Ds.Tables[0].Rows.Count != 0)
{
ddlZone.DataSource = Ds;
ddlZone.DataTextField = Ds.Tables[0].Columns["ZONE"].ToString();
ddlZone.DataValueField = Ds.Tables[0].Columns["ZONE"].ToString();
DataBind();
ddlZone.Items.Insert(0, "SELECT");
} Ds.Dispose();
}
}
|
|
|
|
|
It might just be a typo from your part, but unless you have a method called DataBind that takes care of the databinding part for your drop down list, you should probably call the ddlZone.DataBind() method instead..

Take a look at Unbound items in a bound ComboBox[^].
Alternatively in this[^] thread (scroll down to the bottom and look for a reply from 'BOZ') there is a solution that seems to work.

I was wonder if it was possiable to create a bar code reader for in c# for a windows mobile device which can use photos taken by the camera while the program is running.
Also is it possiable to pass another program information and reutrn this information back to my c# program?
I am doing research into a possiable dissatation preposal to create and GPS orinting game.
Any help on how to do this would be very helpful.

I'm not sure about C#/WinMo but there's a few Android offerings that may be good for research purposes for you. One of the apps hooks into this[^] I believe.

Google around for "Augmented Reality", a few apps already exists, e.g. Wikitude and Layar. Although they're not games, they might prove an interesting read for you.

Hi
I have a SortedDictionary and I need to find the first key match with the character(s) given. For example, if c has been pressed, I need to get the first word in the SortedDictionary that starts with 'c'. Is that possible?
I've read about
SortedDictionary< TKey, TValue> .First Method and
Enumerable.First< TSource> Generic Method (IEnumerable<TSource>, Func<TSource, Boolean>)
in MSDN, but I can't understand it.
|
|
|
|
|
I believe the second is telling you that you can write a function that takes the tsource and returns a bool to tell you a match, and pass it to the First method.

If your IE is a browser control inside your app, you can examine the HTML from there. If it's just IE, you may well be screwed.
