I have no idea. I just see an error message with a stack trace that indicates methods are being called to use an unregistered component, and they are failing. I don't even know what component you're using, you didn't say

Even though you didn't mention anything specifically in your reply.. , it helped to track the actual problem...
In fact I designed a usercontrol using some third party controls..
When I tried using my usercontrol (which was actually) designed in another system by myself) I miised to register the third party controls...

I've 2 internet connections
1. LAN
2. Wireless LAN
My propose is to use each LAN or WLAN connection for independent task.For example,
1. For browsing website , it will use LAN
2. For MSN, google talk ,etc., it will use WLAN.
could it possible?

I need to make a small paint type program. I am relatively new to C#. However, I was wondering if someone can point me in the direction of how to make a matrix of squares so that each of the squares can have a click event. Thanks GDN

The obvious way to do this, is to have a single click event, and then work out what square it occured in. The alternative is to create a grid of controls, that represent your squares.

I've noticed that when I rotate my images using matrices in C#, the image seems to be quite jagged around the borders. Is there a way to smoothen this out perhaps? I've been trying to look around on the site as well as googling (is that even a word  ) with little results: the best being a tutorial for an app in C++, which sadly, is not quite the language I'm looking for in .Net! Thanks in advance, much appreciated!

They are jagged because of the angle of rotation. If the C++ app uses GDI+, you should be able to translate the pertinent code.

For a program I am making, I have text in front of a picture background. As a result, the text is sometimes hard to read when the colour of the picture approaches the text colour.
As a solution to this problem, I tried making the BackColor of the textBox white, then making it semi-transparent. I tried messing around with some System.Drawing.Color methods (R, B, A, etc.) but since I am not familiar with graphics, I could'nt get it to blend properly. How can I do this?

You can't. You can only change the opacity of the entire form, not individual controls, or their backgrounds. Your alternative is to switch to .NET 3.0 or higher and use WPF to do this.

Is it possible to build applications in C# for blackberrys? Actually my boss is looking for an application that can be put on a blackberry and go on a website and find out where that blackberry is (or just by the GPS number on the blackberry).
But anyways, this got me thinking about designing applications for cell phones since they are pretty much the future. Is this a C# thing or another language? I am interested in learning more about it but cannot find any books on building cell phone applications

You can't write a C# app for a Blackberry. The Crackberries run their own O/S that isn't Windows Mobile or CE or whatever. Without Windows, you don't have the .NET Compact Framework, and hence, not able to run C# apps.
Google for Windows Mobile or Windows CE or .NET Compact Framework and you'll find plenty to read about.

I'd like to use kadmin to change password on another linux server FROM a c# programming language on windows server. I wonder if there is some mechanism/setup for these two servers to talk to each others. Or is there something like LDAP for Active Directory?

Hi to all,
I am using .net 2.0 framework and I would like to port my c++Builder classes to C#. I need to know if in the .net 2.0 framework or upper versions there are native ( managed) function like :
CreateCaret, Destroycaret, SetCaretPos ShowCaret and HideCaret.
Of course I don't want to use the User32.dll via PInvoke.

You can set the caret pos in a textbox, the rest, I don't think so.
native and managed are opposite to each other, although I understood what you meant.

I have just readed your suggestion some time ago, and when I searched in google I used this sentence : 'createcaret +C#':
As you probably just know, I didn't find anything that don't use the importing from user32.dll function.
What seem to me unbelievable is that in versions 2.0 and upper microsoft has not thought about to implement these functions.
That's why I post the question in this form. Just in case some one had found something accidentally or for necessity.

I think the thing is, people using C# kind of expect to use p/invoke for this sort of stuff. It's not hard, or fragile, so MS has no incentive to add this stuff.

Today I looked at the contents of a Microsoft Document (*.doc) at school, and it seemed like it was encoded. This did not surprise me, since Microsoft would probably not want the file to be edited outside of the original application.
However, when I found myself a book on Microsoft Office, it stated that Word saved files in a "binary format". Does this "binary format" mean encoded text? Or is it another method of saving, since pictures can be saved as well.
If this method of saving is different from saving a regular text file(right now for example, to save the contents of a dataGridView I extract all the contents first, seperate them using dividers such as "~", and write the entire string to a text file, so my save file looks something like "cell1~cell2~cell3~cell4..."), how can I programmatically do this?
